Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Improved Approach for Detecting Car in Video using Neural Network ModelS. N. Sivanandam, T. Senthil KumarThe study represents a novel approach taken towards car detection, feature extraction and classification in a video. Though many methods have been proposed to deal with individual features of a vehicle, like edge, license plate, corners, no system has been implemented to combine features. Combination of four unique features, namely, color, shape, number plate and logo gives the application a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 1 Sep 2012 · 7,151 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluating the Strengths and Weaknesses of Mining Audit Data for Automated Models for Intrusion Detection in Tcpdump and Basic Security Module DataG. Mohammed Nazer, A. Arul Lawrence SelvakumarProblem statement: Intrusion Detection System (IDS) have become an important component of infrastructure protection mechanism to secure the current and emerging networks, its services and applications by detecting, alerting and taking necessary actions against the malicious activities. The network size, technology diversities and security policies make networks more challenging and hence there is a requirement for IDS which should be … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 25 Aug 2012 · 7,126 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMultimodal Biometric-based Secured Authentication System using SteganographyB. Shanthini, S. SwamynathanProblem statement: The main challenge in the design of a security system for high security mobile ad OC network is how to prevent the attacks against data modification and authentication. Approach: In this novel proposed system the messages communicated between the users are encrypted by the cancellable cryptographic key generated from fingerprint features of the receiver by applying genetic operators … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 7 May 2012 · 7,279 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOn Analysis and Design of the Enhanced Firewall for Intranet SecurityU. K. Singh, A. K. Ramani, N. S. ChaudhariIntranet often employ an Internet firewall to mitigate risks of system penetration, data theft, data destruction and other security breaches. Conventional Internet firewalls impose an overly simple inside vs. outside model of security that is incompatible with many business practices that require extending limited trust to external entities. Additionally, firewall security perimeters are somewhat weak: they provide no protection from … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,709 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThermal Hydraulic Analysis of Double Ended Hot Leg Pipeline Break Accident in AP1000 ReactorM.M. Sadeghiazad, F. Choobdar RahimIn the present research, the Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA), as a postulated accident in nuclear reactors, in its worst condition called large LOCA has been modeled. A specific type of large LOCA in which a totally guillotine break occurs in the hot leg pipe is the Double Ended Hot Leg (DEHL). Once the ‘LOCA’ occurs, the pipe is break … …Energy Research Journal, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 14 May 2020 · 7,661 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSmart-EIS: An End to End Enterprise Information Systems FrameworkJalal Kiswani, Muhanna Muhanna, Abdallah QusefEnterprise Information Systems (EIS) are widely and extensively used in many domains such as banking, telecommunication, e-commerce and government. Although several research studies and investigations were performed that explore the importance of EIS, only a few studies have focused on effective and efficient end-to-end approaches to developing such systems. In this article, a proposed software development framework (Smart-EIS) is presented. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 12 · 24 Dec 2018 · 7,557 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThermal Face Authentication with Convolutional Neural NetworkMohamed Sayed, Faris BakerMatching thermal face images as a method of biometric authentication has gained increasing interest because of its advantage of tracking a target object at night and in total darkness. Therefore, for security purposes, it has become highly favourable and has extensive applications, for instance, in video surveillance at night. The aim of this study is to present a simple and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 12 · 10 Dec 2018 · 7,854 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractINTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM IN SECURE SHELL TRAFFIC IN CLOUD ENVIRONMENTMehdi Barati, Azizol Abdullah, NurIzura Udzir et al.Due to growth of Cloud computing usage, the need to apply encrypted protocols to provide confidentiality and integrity of data increases dramatically. Attacker can take advantage of these protocols to hide the intrusion and evade detection. Many traditional attack detection techniques have been proposed to provide security in the networks but none of them can be implemented properly in encrypted … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 26 Jun 2014 · 7,851 accessesView PDFCite
