Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn The Integration of Decision Diagrams in High Order Logic Based Theorem Provers: a SurveySa'ed Abed, Otmane Ait Mohamed, Ghiath Al SammaneThis survey discuss approaches that integrate Decision Diagrams inside High Order Logic based Theorem provers. The approaches can be divided in two kinds, one is based on building a translation between model checker and theorem prover, the second is based on embedding the model checker algorithms inside the theorem prover. A comparison between both is discussed in detail. The paper … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2007 · 6,980 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleQuality Monitoring Using Principal Component Analysis and Fuzzy Logic Application in Continuous Casting ProcessSalah Bouhouche, Malek Lahreche, Abdelkrim Moussaoui, Jürgen BastThis paper deals with non linear system monitoring, based on a combined use of Principal Components Analysis (PCA) and fuzzy logic to process and quality monitoring. PCA coupled to fuzzy logic was used to estimate the fault or defect according to the dynamic changes in the process inputs-outputs characterized by T2 Hoteling and Squared Prediction Error (SPE). Correlation between the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 7,238 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFast Power Loss Computation and Shunt Capacitor Insertion Using Fuzzy Logic TechniqueWagah F. Mohammad, Nabil Tawalbeh, Kasim M. Al-AubidyFast power loss computation was implemented using supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) with personal computer. Logic Control Array (LCA) and EPROM circuits were used to implement SCADA system to facilitate the required measurements to obtain the daily load profile for residential and commercial customers. LCA, EPROM and PC were used to simplify the electronic circuits, reduce the cost … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 30 Apr 2007 · 7,391 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA new Logic ConverterDr. Amer Abu-Alispecial design for analog voltage-to-4 valued logic converter is implemented. In this study 2-bits converter was developed and tested using PLA (Programmable Logic Arrays) and two Digital-to-Analog converters. …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 6,625 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA STUDY OF FIRST YEAR TERTIARY STUDENTS’ MATHEMATICAL KNOWLEDGE- CONCEPTUAL AND PROCEDURAL KNOWLEDGE, LOGICAL THINKING AND CREATIVITYGurudeo Anand Tularam, Kees HulsmanThis study focuses on students in first year environmental science degree programs where traditionally mathematical emphasis has been much less than the strict science or math majors. The importance now placed in applied mathematics means that students need to gain more conceptual and quantitative knowledge in not only the environmental degree programs but also in most if not all non-mathematical … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 1 Aug 2013 · 7,255 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHepatitis B Diagnosis Using Logical Inference and Self-Organizing MapGhumbre Shashikant Uttreshwar, A.A. GhatolDespite all the standardization efforts made, medical diagnosis is still regarded as an art owing to the fact that that medical diagnosis requires an expertise in handling the uncertainty which is unavailable in today's computing machinery. Though artificial intelligence is not a new concept it has been widely recognized as a new technology in computer science. Numerous areas such as … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 6,874 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign of Telemedicine Robot using Behavior-based Control Architecture with Two-Step Fuzzy Logic OptimizationAndi Adriansyah, Nanda Ferdana, Setiyo Budiyanto, Julpri AndikaDesigning a telemedicine robot is a challenging task. Complexity, incomplete prior knowledge of the environment and unexpected situations set strict requirements for both the hardware and software components of the robot. Several robotics architectures have been proposed that try to cope with the above problems. The behavior-based approach has been established as the main alternative to new robot control. The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 11 · 13 Nov 2019 · 7,579 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) on Photovoltaic Panels using Fuzzy Logic MethodAhmad Faizal, Sutoyo, Mulyono et al.Solar energy is a clean energy, renewable, and available for the long term. The tool used to convert the energy generated from the intensity of sunlight into electricity is photovoltaic panels. However, due to the high cost and low efficiency, the use of the energy is still kind small compared to other types of energy sources. Thus, the need for … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 10 Aug 2016 · 8,498 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Real Time Practical Approach for Multi Objective Job Shop Scheduling Using Fuzzy Logic ApproachR. Ramkumar, A. Tamilarasi, T. DeviMulti objective Job Shop scheduling is a difficult task in both theoretical and practical solving issues. Problem statement: In the present scenario the modern Engineering and Industrial manufacturing units are facing lot of problems in many aspects such as machining time, raw material movement, man power requirement, electricity demand and customer satisfaction. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSynchronization of Chaos Systems Using Fuzzy LogicMohammad Ababneh, Issa Etier, Mahmoud Smadi, Jasim GhaebProblem statement: This study presented a new and systematic method to robustly synchronize uncertain chaos systems. It was derived based on the observer approach for synchronization, where error dynamics was made asymptotically stable around the zero to accomplish synchronization. Approach: This method viewed the synchronization problem as a control problem in order to make use of the literature available in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 7,642 accessesView PDFCite
