Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Impact of Climate Factors on the Epidemiology and Management of Potato virus YMahabuba Mostafa, Md. Motaher HossainPlant viruses give rise to potential loss to global crop production and have the potential to cause widespread damage. Potato virus Y (PVY) is a plant virus that belongs to the genus Potyvirus and the family Potyviridae and it is considered a major concern, particularly for solanaceous crops such as potatoes. PVY represents the largest cluster of plant viruses, encompassing … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 24, Issue 4 · 31 Aug 2024 · 4,758 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDouble Diffusive Convection Heat and Moisture Transfer Inside a Planted Roof Building Under Hot-Humid Climate: Case of Lomé City in West AfricaHodo-Abalo Samah, Magolmèèna Banna, Belkacem ZeghmatiPlanted roofs have been investigated as a passive cooling technology for energy efficiency purposes in buildings. More quantitative data on this topic are required to solve a lack of information for many specific regions. This study is focused on a numerical investigation of the thermal comfort inside a green roof rectangular ventilated cavity in a hot and humid climate like … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 19, Issue 1 · 7 Feb 2022 · 6,993 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Classification of Cropping Patterns Based on Regional Climate Classification Using Decision Tree ApproachTb Ai Munandar, SumiatiNowadays, agricultural field is experiencing problems related to climate change that result in the changing patterns in cropping season, especially for paddy and coarse grains, pulses roots and Tuber (CGPRT/Palawija) crops. The cropping patterns of rice and CGPRT crops highly depend on the availability of rainfall throughout the year. The changing and shifting of the rainy season result in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 9 · 28 Sep 2017 · 8,241 accessesView PDFCite
EditorialOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Timeless Contribution of Rootstocks towards Successful Horticultural Farming: From Ancient Times to the Climate Change EraIoannis E. PapadakisGrafting is a horticultural practice by which living vegetative plant organs (root, stem and/or buds) of either the same genotype or, usually, different genotypes belonging to the same species, genus, subfamily and/or family, are tightly connected to each other to form a double-compound plant. In fact, it is a method of asexual (clonal-vegetative) propagation of plants.
