Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCargo Route Optimization Using Shortest Path Algorithms: Runtime and Validity ComparisonDedy Rahman Wijaya, Aqil Athallah, Tiara Nuha Noor’afina et al.The Indonesian logistics industry is facing significant challenges related to inefficiency and irregularity, particularly in the commodity cargo route system. This issue is further exacerbated by the high logistics costs in the country, which currently stands at 23%, higher than that of other countries. To address this issue, this study proposes an implementation and examination of several algorithms Greedy, Best … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 11 · 19 Oct 2023 · 6,351 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComparative Study: Algorithms for Short Message Service ClassificationEvaristus Didik Madyatmadja, Aldi, Fiona Fheren et al.This research aims to classify Short Message Service (SMS) data by applying classification models that have studied SMS data to classify SMS data into SMS spam and SMS ham. The classification model is made from data mining algorithms: Naive Bayes and support vector machine. Before implementing the two algorithms, the SMS data will go through a text preprocessing stage, including … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 11 · 29 Sep 2023 · 4,992 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleBreast Cancer Grading using Machine Learning Approach AlgorithmsHiba Nabeel Zalloum, Saada Al Zeer, Amir Manassra et al.Recently, Breast Cancer (BC) becomes a more common cancer disease in women and it considers the most important sign which leads to death among women. Therefore, it requires efficient methods for detecting it to reduce the risk of death. A positive prognosis and greater chances of survival are improved if the BC is detected early. Currently, machine learning plays an … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 12 · 22 Dec 2022 · 6,610 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Intelligent Approach to Develop, Assess and Optimize Energy Consumption Models for Air-Cooled Chillers using Machine Learning AlgorithmsMostafa Tahmasebi, Nabil NassifThe building sector accounts for more than 70% of the total electricity use. Chillers consume more than 50% of electrical energy during seasonal periods of building use. With the growth of the building sector and climate change, it's essential to develop energy-efficient HVAC systems that optimize the ever-increasing energy demand. This study aims to develop an energy consumption prediction model … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 8 Nov 2022 · 5,516 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComparative Performance of Supervised Learning Algorithms for Flood Prediction in Kemaman, TerengganuNur Najihah Shaaban, Norlida Hassan, Aida Mustapha, Salama A. MostafaFlood is one of the most destructive phenomena all over the world. Because the flooding uncertainties and the urgency to prepare for disaster management, three specific technique approaches are compared in this study to predict the flood occurrence based on historical rainfall data. The study involved the rainfall data in Kemaman, Terengganu between 2017 and 2018 extracted from the official … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 5 · 7 May 2021 · 6,887 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAssessing Supervised Classification Algorithms for Mangrove Detection and Differentiation from Other Forest Types in Paiton District, Probolinggo RegencyKaruniawan Puji Wicaksono, Fathor Rohman, Yasushi MitsudaRemote sensing provides an effective approach for monitoring forest cover dynamics, yet distinguishing mangroves from other forest types remains challenging in heterogeneous coastal landscapes. This study compares six supervised classification algorithms: Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), Quadratic Discriminant Analysis (QDA), Mixture Discriminant Analysis (MDA), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), and eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) for mangrove detection in Paiton, … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 26, Issue 3 · 1 Sep 2026 · 844 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Comparative Study of Machine Learning Algorithms for Skin Cancer DetectionVineeth Victor, Amit Kumr Tyagi, Khushboo Tripathi et al.The skin is the largest organ in the human body, covering an area of around 20 square feet. Our skin keeps us safe from germs and the environment, helps us regulate our body temperature, and gives us the ability to feel touch, heat, and cold. More than 95 percent of all skin cancers are caused by ultraviolet (UV) radiation. UV … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 12 · 23 Jan 2026 · 1,859 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAnomaly Detection Algorithms for Streaming Data: Performance ComparisonZirije HasaniToday’s most of the data are streaming time-series data, where is very important anomaly detection over this data because gives significant information of possible critical situations. Detecting anomalies in big streaming data is yet difficult task because we have to process them in real time, even before they are stored and instantly alarm on potential threats. For real time streaming … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 7 · 18 Jul 2020 · 7,288 accessesView PDFCite
