Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Scalable and Reliable Cost Effective Key Agreement Protocol for Secure Group CommunicationS. Jabeen Begum, Dr. T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In a heterogeneous environment, for a secure multicast communication, the group members have to share a secret key which is used to encrypt/decrypt the secret messages among the members. The Secure Group Communication of large scale multicast group in a dynamic environment is more complex than securing one-to-one communication due to the inherent scalability issue of group key … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 6,960 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReducing Broadcast Overhead Using Clustering Based Broadcast Mechanism in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkN. Karthikeyan, V. Palanisamy, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Network wide broadcasting is an important function in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET), which attempts to deliver packets from a source node to all other nodes in the network. Broadcasting is often very useful for route discovery, naming, addressing and helping multicast operations in all kinds of networks. For designing broadcast protocols for ad hoc networks, one of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2009 · 7,031 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Comparative Study between Various Protocols of MANET NetworksMohammed F. Al-Hunaity, Salam A. Najim, Ibrahiem M. El-EmaryMulticast Ad-Hoc on-Demand Distance Vector (MAODV) protocol keeps sending control packets within static periods whether there was sending of data packets or not, and it was not concerned with the amount of these data packets. Based on this, many people found out that there are a high number of control packets in the short-lived connection. The main idea of this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,957 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCluster Based Architecture for Cognitive Radio NetworkManoj Ramachandran, Harish Sheeranalli Venkatarama, Sandesh HebbarCatastrophic events like flood often result in the derangement of the communication networks. The consequences include difficulty in locating the survivors of the disaster. The purpose of this paper is to give an insight to the design and development of a Cognitive Radio Network that can be used as an immediate remedy communication network which can help in such situations. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 12 Dec 2018 · 7,711 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTHROUGHPUT AND BIT ERROR RATE ANALYSIS OF LUBY TRANSFORM CODES WITH LOW AND MEDIUM NODAL DEGREE DISTRIBUTIONSI. Joe Louis Paul, S. Radha, J. RajaThis study presents two degree distributions namely low and medium nodal degree distributions aiming to build a low overhead Luby Transform (LT) codes. The motivation is to design a fast encoder/decoder especially for real-time multimedia streaming and multicasting applications using LT codes. The key idea of this study is to restrict the average degree of the transmitted encoded symbols as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 9 · 12 Aug 2014 · 6,614 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProgressive Content-Sensitive Data Retrieval in Sensor NetworksBo Yang, Manohar MareboyanaProblem statement: For a sensor network comprising autonomous and self-organizing data sources, efficient similarity-based search for semantic-rich resources (such as video data) has been considered as a challenging task due to the lack of infrastructures and the multiple limitations (such as band-width, storage and energy). While the past research discussed much on routing protocols for sensor networks, few works have … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 6,845 accessesView PDF Cite
