Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Enhanced Secure and Scalable Model for Enterprise Applications using Automated MonitoringA. Kannammal, V. Ramachandran, N. Ch.S.N. IyengarE-Business must be highly secured and scalable to provide efficient services to millions of clients on the web. This paper proposes a new approach based on shared objects to improve security and mobile agents to improve scalability. The e-business uses shared objects and mobile agents to update the clients automatically with new information. The agent that resides in the database … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,575 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Framework for Developing Experience Based e-Negotiation SystemHasan Al-Sakran, Irina SerguievskaiaIn this study we propose multi-agent distributed electronic negotiation system, where the learning process is facilitated by using the CBR approach in combination with case database and addition of ability to roam through a network allows considering outside options using mobile agent technology. CBR is an AI methodology which combines re-use of the past experiences with case base. Cases similar … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 6,893 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA New Strategy for Signaling Overhead Reduction in the Proxy Mobile IPv6 ProtocolAdnan J. Jabir, S. Shamala, Z. ZuriatiProblem statement: The rapid growth of the Internet usage has been realized by the Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6). Concurrent to these technological advances is the communication overheads. Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) has been standardized to overcome the long handoff latency, packet loss and signaling overhead of MIPv6 and to exempt the mobile node from any involvement in the handoff process. Although … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 13 Feb 2012 · 7,500 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Method for Human Resource Risk Management in Mobile Workforce Brokering SystemsArash Mousavi, Md. Jan Nordin, Zulaiha Ali Othman, Riza SulaimanProblem statement: Human Resource Risk Management is one of the crucial issues in Mobile Workforce Management Systems (MWM) in general, and in Mobile Workforce Brokering Systems (MWBS) in Particular. It is important because, if not properly managed, it will cause reduction in accuracy of the automated MWBS, which in turn necessitates more human involvement in the task allocation process. Thus, … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 11 Oct 2011 · 7,364 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Improved TCP Connection Protocol over Wireless Mobile Networks with Mobile Nodes HandoffMaen M. Al AssafProblem Statement: This study proposes a TCP layer protocol (Div-TCP) that aims to give a solution for communication over wireless mobile networks that have the occurrence of handoff at anytime. It describes a topology of wireless mobile network and the handoff process as an ordinary process in that type of networks which may cause segments losses. Approach: Wireless mobile networks … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2008 · 6,675 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSoftware Cost Estimation Model Based on Integration of Multi-agent and Case-Based ReasoningHasan Al-SakranAccurate software cost estimation is a vital task that affects the firm's software investment decisions before committing required resources to that project or bidding for a contract. This study proposes an improved Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) approach integrated with multi-agent technology to retrieve similar projects from multi-organizational distributed datasets. The study explores the possibility of building a software cost estimation model … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,740 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAnalytical Method Validation of Vilazodone with Spectrofluorimetric Detection in Rabbit PlasmaIrene Sartini, Marco Salvadori, Beata Łebkowska-Wieruszewska et al.Vilazodone (VLZ) is an antidepressant agent approved in 2011 by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of major depressive syndromes. Its chemical structure derives from trazodone which is used as an off-label drug for dogs and cats in order to induce sedation and reduce anxiety, behavioural and pre-and post-operative stress. VLZ could be a potentially useful compound in … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 1 · 2 Apr 2019 · 7,740 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobility and Handover Technique in Heterogeneous Wireless NetworksRadhwan Abdullah, Zuriati Zukarnain, Farzaneh Masoumiyan, Azizol AbdullahThe management techniques for Mobile IPv6 between different wireless technologies are very important to complete the handover process with the least possible delay. In the fast handover, when a mobile node moves to another network, it needs to do handover operations. These operations have a severe impact on the handover latency. This paper proposes an Enhanced Advanced Duplicate Address Detection … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2015 · 6,752 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAgent and Radio Frequency Identification Based Architecture for Supermarket Information SystemHasan Al-SakranIn recent years the acceptance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in business environments has been increasing rapidly due to its competitive business value. Adopting a suitable RFID-based information system has become increasingly important for supermarkets. However, most supermarkets still use conventional barcode-based systems to manage their information processes, which are consistently reported as one of the most unenthusiastic aspects … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 1 Jun 2013 · 6,742 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fault Tolerant Resource Allocation Architecture for Mobile GridS. Thenmozhi, A. Tamilarasi, P. T. VanathiProblem statement: In order to achieve high level of reliability and availability, the grid infrastructure should be fault tolerant. Since the failure of resources affects job execution fatally, fault tolerance service is essential to satisfy QoS requirement in grid computing with respect to mobile nodes. Approach: We propose a fault tolerant technique for improving reliability in mobile grid environment considering … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 7 Apr 2012 · 7,290 accessesView PDFCite
