Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleLink Stability with Energy Aware Ad Hoc on Demand Multipath Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksSenthil Murugan Tamilarasan, Kannan EswariahMobile Ad Hoc Network is one of the wireless network in which mobile nodes are communicate with each other and have no infrastructure because no access point. The MANET protocols can be classified as proactive and reactive routing protocol. The proactive routing protocols, all nodes which participated in network have routing table. This table updated periodically and is used to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 6,505 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEffect of Clustering in Designing a Fuzzy Based Hybrid Intrusion Detection System for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksD. Vydeki, R. S. BhuvaneswaranIntrusion Detection System (IDS) provides additional security for the most vulnerable Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET). Use of Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) in the design of IDS is proven to be efficient in detecting routing attacks in MANETs. Clustering is a vital means in the detection process of FIS based hybrid IDS. This study describes the design of such a system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 14 May 2013 · 6,469 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDynamic Route Shortening and Route Repairing Mechanism for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksS. Revathi, T. R. RangaswamyProblem statement: Ad hoc Networks are wireless networks without any fixed infrastructure. The network topology changes frequently and unpredictably due to the random movement of the nodes. The Ad Hoc on Demand Distant Vector Routing (AODV) protocol works in a dynamic fashion, by establishing a route on demand and continues that route until it breaks. Due to the changing network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 11 Jul 2012 · 7,068 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEnergy Aware Multiple Constraints Quality of Service Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksSenthilkumar Maruthamuthu, Somasundaram SankaralingamProblem statement: This study presents a source based reactive protocol called "Energy Aware Multiple Constraints QoS Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction (EMQRPDM)" for MANET. It is an enhanced version of our previous protocol called "Power aware multiple QoS constraints routing protocol with mobility prediction (PMQRPMP)". It addresses the issues such as routing, mobility and power management in MANET. Approach: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,477 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCache Based Distributed Query Processing in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksT. P. Andamuthu, P. BalasubramanieProblem statement: In the last few years, the evolution of the mobile networks leads to the query processing in mobile computing an impressive research area. The mobile computing technology needs to offer more and different innovative services as the number of users of the mobiles were increasing. In this regard, this study proposed a new algorithm which increased the performance … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,758 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Improved Location aided Cluster Based Routing Protocol with Intrusion Detection System in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksS. Mangai, A. TamilarasiProblem statement: Routing and security are the main challenges for ad hoc networks due to dynamic topology as well as resource constraints. A designed protocol must provide scalable routing with better security. Lack of any central coordination and shared wireless medium makes them more vulnerable to attacks than wired networks. And also resource constraints such as limited energy and size … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 7,103 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Fast Handover Scheme for Multicasting in IPv6 based Mobile Ad hoc NetworksH. Parveen Sultana, M. Pounambal, Dr. P. Venkata KrishnaProblem statement: In the previous researches, steps were taken to resolve the problems of multicasting, after several discussions. Actually these issues were raised, while multicasting packets from Internet Protocol (IP) to Mobile Nodes (MN). On the other hand, there is very little concern about the problem of packet loss reduction. Sometimes the occurrence of multicast service chaos is ignored during … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 16 Dec 2010 · 7,241 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Combined Solution for Routing and Medium Access Control Layer Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksR. Murugan, A. ShanmugamProblem statement: In Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), both the routing layer and the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer are vulnerable to several attacks. There are very few techniques to detect and isolate the attacks of both these layers simultaneously. In this study, we developed a combined solution for routing and MAC layer attacks. Approach: Our approach, makes use of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 4 Nov 2010 · 7,135 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleVirtual Mobility to Improve Cooperation in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksA. Baaziz, S. PierreWe study the impact of mobility on the level of cooperation between mobile nodes in a mobile ad hoc network. In a mobile ad hoc network, if the nodes are static or have a reduced mobility and if some nodes adopt a selfish behaviour, the performance of the network is affected. This is because the same nodes that are relaying … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 6,955 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAdding Quality of Service Extensions to the Enhanced Associativity Based Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET)Ayman Mansour Murad, Bassam Al-MahadeenThis paper described how to discover routes that can satisfy QoS service requirements by using extensions to the Enhanced Associativity Bases Routing Protocol (EABR). These extensions were added to the messages used during route discovery. These extensions specify the service requirements, which must be met by nodes re-broadcasting a route request or returning a route reply for a destination. The … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 6,708 accessesView PDFCite
