Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdaptive Channel Equalization Using Multiplicative Neural Network for Rayleigh Faded ChannelP. Sivakumar, N. Chithra, S. N. Sivanandam, M. RajaramProblem statement: Digital transmission over band-limited communication channel largely suffers from ISIS and various noise sources. The presence of ISI and noise causes bit errors in the received signal. Equalization is necessary at the receiver to overcome these channel impairment to recover the original transmitted sequence. Traditionally equalization is considered as equivalent to inverse filtering and implemented using linear-perform under … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 18 Aug 2011 · 6,931 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluation of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) System Capacity with Spatial CorrelationsT. Gunasekaran, K. R. Shankar KumarProblem statement: Today’s wireless technologies just won’t get us to the hyper connectivity of uninterrupted access from any mobile device with unlimited bandwidth at real-time speeds. This is due to the low data throughput and scarcity in spectrum. Approach: Under the condition of uncorrelated antenna elements, capacity of the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system can be increased linearly with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 4 Aug 2011 · 8,108 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStudy the Characteristic of P-Type Junction-Less Side Gate Silicon Nanowire Transistor Fabricated by Atomic Force Microscopy LithographyArash Dehzangi, Farhad Larki, E.B. Saion et al.Problem statement: Nanotransistor now is one of the most promising fields in nanoelectronic in order to less energy consuming and application to create developed programmable information processors. Most of Computing and communications companies invest hundreds of millions of dollars in research funds every year to develop smaller transistors. Approach: The Junction-less side gate silicon Nano-wire transistor has been fabricated by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 1 Aug 2011 · 8,635 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Review of Integrated River Basin Management for Sarawak RiverKuok King Kuok, Sobri Harun, Po-Chan ChiuProblem statement: Sarawak River was a life-sustaining water source for the residents in Kuching City and surrounding areas. Raw water is treated at Batu Kitang Water Treatment Plant (BKWTP) that supplies more than 98% of the total water production in Kuching City. The raw water supply to BKWTP is not adequate to meet the ever increasing water demand. In order … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 21 Jul 2011 · 9,091 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFuzzy Logic Controller for Wireless Video TransmissionK. P. Rajesh, K. S. RamaswamiProblem statement: As the Variable Bit Rate (VBR) is high in MPEG, the video experienced long delay and unexpected data loss. In wireless channel, due to noise and interference of other signals transmission rate cannot be predicted. Approach: In this paper we proposed an intelligent fuzzy logic controller for transmission of Moving Picture Expert Group (MPEG-4) video signals over wireless … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 30 Jun 2011 · 6,950 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance of MMSE Receiver based Multi Input Multi Output-Interleave Division Multiple-Access System with Multi-user Detection over Frequency Selective Wireless Communication ChannelKuttathatti Srinivasan Vishvaksenan, R. SeshasayananProblem statement: This study presents the performance analysis of turbo assisted Interleave Division Multiple-Access (IDMA) system with Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) support for multi user scenario over correlated frequency selective and uncorrelated frequency selective channel. Approach: The key principle of IDMA is that interleaver unique which distinguishes the users in contrast to spreading sequence in Code Division Multiple Access … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 30 Jun 2011 · 6,834 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBio-Potential Signal Extraction from Multi-Channel Paper Recorded ChartsAli S.A. Al-MejradProblem Statement: Almost all of the modern biomedical equipments that record the biopotential actions have digital output but the paper chart records are a must. The volume of these records is significant and increasing rapidly. Keeping a bio-signal chart of a patient make it easy for quick assessment but still create problems in the essence of data storage, archiving , … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 13 Jun 2011 · 7,106 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComparison between Vertex Merge Algorithm and Dsatur AlgorithmHandrizal, A. Noraziah, Ahmed N. AbdallaProblem statement: In this study, the channel allocation problem in direct sequence spread spectrum was investigated. First, Coloring in channel allocation has been discussed in detail. Second; a new graph model is proposed that namely Vertex Merge Algorithm (VMA). Approach: VMA try to solve channel allocation based on graph theory. Results: The problem is to assign channel to Access Point … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,254 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Global Search Algorithm Based Multiuser Detector for Multi Carrier Code Division Multiple Access System under Clipping NoiseS. Sivanesskumar, R. SukaneshProblem statement: Multi Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA), a promising technology for the 4G communication systems. The major limitation of MC-CDMA system is the Multiple Access Interference (MAI) which is due to near-far effect, frequency offset and nonlinear power amplification due to clipping noise.
