Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWirelesshd Video Transmission Over Multicarrier Error-CorrectionchannelsMohamed Khedr, Maha SharkasUncompressed High-Definition video streaming over extremely high frequency using wireless technologies, also known as WirelessHD, is a challenge problem because of the high data rate requirement and channel variations. The advantages in RF technology and the huge bandwidth available in the 57-66 GHZ millimeter wave open new era for High Definition applications and high data rates communication. Retransmission is not … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 6 Nov 2012 · 6,582 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdvanced Information Technology of Slot-Switching Network Schemes for on All-Optical Variable-Length PacketSoung Yue Liew, Edward Sek Khin Wong, Choong Kwai FattProblem Statement: The purpose of this paper was to investigate all optical packet switching, because it was the key to the success of the future Internet. It can meet the stringent bandwidth requirement of future Internet applications, such as real-time video streaming. Due to the lack of optical Random Access Memory (RAM), however, the all-optical schemes studied in the literature … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,186 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWavelet-Based Geometry Coding for Three Dimensional Mesh Using Space Frequency QuantizationShymaa T. El-Leithy, Walaa M. ShetaProblem statement: Recently, 3D objects have been used in several applications like internet games, virtual reality and scientific visualization. These applications require real time rendering and fast transmission of large objects through internet. However, due to limitation of bandwidth, the compression and streaming of 3D object is still an open research problem. Approach: Novel procedure for compression and coding of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2009 · 6,603 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Approach to Improve the State Scalability of Source Specific MulticastS. A. Al-Talib, B. M. Ali, S. KhatunProblem statement: Source Specific Multicast (SSM) is an acceptable solution for current multicast applications; since the driving applications to date are one to many, including Internet TV, distance learning, file distribution and streaming media. Approach: It was useful for billing, address allocation and security. SSM still had serious state scalability problem when there were a large number of simultaneous on-going … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 6,820 accessesView PDF Cite
