Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMetric for the Fusion of Synthetic and Real Imagery from Multimodal SensorsRami Nahas, S. P. KozaitisWe described a method to improve night vision for vehicle navigation that combined images from a thermal infrared camera and from a public database of stored images. Such an approach allows a night scene to appear as if it were daytime for automotive applications thereby increasing safety. We described a new metric to evaluate the fusion of such an augmented … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 30 Dec 2014 · 7,901 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordCAVITY SEGMENTATION AND STROKE VOLUME MEASUREMENT METHODS FROM ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC IMAGES: REVIEWAnas A. Abboud, Rahmita Wirza Rahmat, Suhaini Bin Kadiman et al.The complexity and criticality of heart disease diagnosis and treatment have frequently attracted the attention of researchers to develop approaches that can handle accurate clinical assessments. One of these complexities is measuring the Right Ventricle stroke volume. Therefore, different cardiac imaging techniques have been developed to help specialists in their regular clinical work and in the operating theatre to assist … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 11 · 20 Dec 2014 · 8,416 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn "Expert System" For Stereoscopic 3D Visualization (with out the Application of Conventional Attachments to the Eyes) of Computer Acquired and Computer Generated StereopairsN. Sandya Rani, V. Vaithya NathanProblem statement: Though stereoscopic 3D visualization technology has made considerable progress, it was always associated with eye attachments, like wearing color glasses, wearing Polaroid glasses, using timed shutters. Approach: This has considerably retarded the popularity of 3D visualization technology. Though there are discrete references in the literature for developing stereoscopic 3D visualization without application of glasses, these methods involve transferring … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 6,904 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAutomated 3D Particle Field Extraction and Tracking System Using Digital in-line HolographyHesham EldeebDigital holography for 3D particle field extraction and tracking is an active research topic. It has a great application in realizing characterization of micro-scale structures in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) with high resolution and accuracy. In-line configuration is studied in this study as the fundamental structure of a digital holography system. Digital holographic approach, not only eliminates wet chemical processing and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 6,539 accessesView PDF Cite
