Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhanced Clustering Techniques for Hyper Network Planning using Minimum Spanning Trees and Ant-Colony AlgorithmLamiaa Fattouh IbrahimProblem statement: The process of network planning is divided into two sub steps. The first step is determining the location of the Multi Service Access Node (MSAN). The second step is the construction of subscriber network lines from MSAN to subscribers to satisfy optimization criteria and design constraints. Due to the complexity of this process artificial intelligence and clustering techniques … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 9 Mar 2011 · 6,820 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractExtension and Prerequisite: An Algorithm to Enable Relations Between Responses in Chatbot TechnologyAbbas Saliimi Lokman, Jasni Mohamad ZainProblem statement: Artificial intelligence chatbot is a technology that makes interactions between man and machines using natural language possible. From literature, we found out that in general, chatbot are functions like a typical search engine. Although chatbot just produced only one output instead of multiple outputs/results, the basic process flow is the same where each time an input is entered, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 24 Aug 2010 · 17,001 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMachine Translation System in Indian PerspectivesSanjay Kumar Dwivedi, Pramod Premdas SukhadeveProblem statement: In a large multilingual society like India, there is a great demand for translation of documents from one language to another language. Approach: Most of the state government works in there provincial languages, whereas the central government’s official documents and reports are in English and Hindi. Results: In order to have an appropriate communication there is a need … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 30 Jul 2010 · 8,425 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Enhancement of Underwater Target Tracking by Fusing Data of Array of Global Positioning System SonobuoysAhmed El-Shafie, Abdallah Osman, Aboelmagd Noureldin, Aini HussainProblem statement: An accurate knowledge of geographic positions of sonobuoys is critical for the conduct of antisubmarine warfare operations and detected target localization. Deployed from an airborne platform or a surface vessel, arrays of sonobuoys could be used to efficiently track and localize submarines. Lastly, some sonobuoys were being equipped with GPS for improving system accuracy and potentially allowing networked … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2009 · 7,475 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSelf-Organizing Map and Multi-Layer Perceptron Neural Network Based Data Mining To Envisage Agriculture CultivationE. T. Venkatesh, Dr. P. ThangarajStudy on characteristics of soil, to determine the types of crops suitable for cultivation in a particular region can increase the yield to greater extent, which minimizes the expenditures involved in irrigation and application of fertilizers. With the tested techniques available for calibrating the quality of soil and the crops suitable for cultivation in it, it is possible to determine … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 6,789 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractArabic Speech Pathology Therapy Computer Aided SystemZ. A. Benselama, M. Guerti, M. A. BencherifThis article concerns a computer aided pathological speech therapy program, based on speech models such as the hidden Markov model and artificial intelligence networks, in order to help persons, suffering from language pathologies, follow a correction learning process, with different interactive feedbacks, aiming to evaluate the degree of evolution of the illness or the therapy. We dealt with the Arabic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,937 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Transformation-oriented Methodology to Knowledge-based Conceptual Data Warehouse DesignOpim S. Sitompul, Shahrul A. NoahApplications of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the form of knowledge-based systems within the context of database design have been extensively researched particularly to provide support within the conceptual design phase. However, a similar approach to the task of data warehouse design has yet to be seriously initiated. In this paper, we proposed a design methodology for conceptual data warehouse … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,735 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Model for Multi-agent Case-base Reasoning SystemsAbdel Badeea Salem, Aldahoud Ali, Ibrahiem M. M. El EmaryMulti-Agent Systems (MASs) and Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) are two recent and hot paradigms in artificial intelligence field. CBR is a reasoning methodology based on old experience reasoning or similarity-based reasoning while MAS is a new paradigm to organize AI applications. CBR offers multi-agent systems the capability of autonomously learning from experience. This study examines the integration of CBR, MASs and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 19 Oct 2005 · 5,157 accessesView PDFCite
