Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEnhanced Route Re-Construction Method for Associativity Based Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET)Fawaz A.M. Masoud, Said A. Shaar, Ayman Murad, Ghassan KanaanA mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is wireless network composed of mobile nodes that are dynamically and randomly located in such a manner that the interconnections between nodes are capable of changing on a continual basis. In order to facilitate communication within the network, a routing protocol is used to discover routes between nodes. The primary goal of such an ad-hoc … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2006 · 6,542 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDistributed Clusterhead Architecture for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksEmad Qaddoura, Wesam AlMobaideen, Ahmad OmariMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,804 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleHybrid Optimize Strategy based QoS Route Algorithm for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksFu Peng, Zhang DeyunIt is very difficult to find feasible QoS (Quality of service) routes in the mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), because of the nature constrains of it, such as dynamic network topology, wireless communication link and limited process capability of nodes. In order to reduce average cost in flooding path discovery scheme of the traditional MANETs routing protocols and increase the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 6,546 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCONSTRUCTION OF STRATEGIC CONNECTED DOMINATING SET FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSVictor Ceronmani Sharmila, Amalanathan GeorgeConnected Dominating Sets (CDSs) can serve as virtual backbones for wireless networks. A smaller virtual backbone (minimum size CDS) incurs less communication overhead. Unfortunately, computing a minimum size CDS is NP-hard and thus many algorithms were developed which concentrates on how to construct smaller CDSs. Aiming for minimum number of nodes in CDS, results in CDSs that are highly unstable. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 16 Nov 2013 · 6,913 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSecure Enhanced Authenticated Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksM. Rajesh Babu, S. SelvanProblem statement: This study propose an improvement of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector (AODV) Routing protocol in order to include some of the aspects of ad hoc networks such as load balancing, congestion avoidance and avoidance of link breakage. Approach: The most important problem nowadays is link breakage which mainly occurs due to excessive load and congestion in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 17 Oct 2011 · 6,620 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEnergy Aware Multiple Constraints Quality of Service Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksSenthilkumar Maruthamuthu, Somasundaram SankaralingamProblem statement: This study presents a source based reactive protocol called "Energy Aware Multiple Constraints QoS Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction (EMQRPDM)" for MANET. It is an enhanced version of our previous protocol called "Power aware multiple QoS constraints routing protocol with mobility prediction (PMQRPMP)". It addresses the issues such as routing, mobility and power management in MANET. Approach: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,477 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCache Based Distributed Query Processing in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksT. P. Andamuthu, P. BalasubramanieProblem statement: In the last few years, the evolution of the mobile networks leads to the query processing in mobile computing an impressive research area. The mobile computing technology needs to offer more and different innovative services as the number of users of the mobiles were increasing. In this regard, this study proposed a new algorithm which increased the performance … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,758 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Analysis of Power Aware Congestion Control Multipath Multicast Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NetworkDuraiswamy Karuppaswamy, Vijayaragavan ShanmugamProblem statement: In MANETs, wireless link transmission errors, mobility and congestion are major causes for packet loss. Mobility may cause packet loss in different ways. Whereas congestion in a network occurs, whenever the demands exceed the maximum capacity of a communication link especially when multiple hosts try to access a shared media simultaneously. Approach: In this study, we proposed a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 2 Nov 2010 · 7,038 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Stable Weight-Based on Demand Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkOon Chong Hsi, Azizol AbdullahProblem statement: A MANET is an autonomous collection of mobile users that communicate over relatively bandwidth constrained wireless links. Since the nodes are mobile, the network topology may change rapidly and unpredictably over time. Approach: A Stable Weight-based On demand Routing Protocol (SWORP) that uses the weight-based route strategy to select a stable route was created by Wang. But SWORP … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2009 · 6,928 accessesView PDFCite
