Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Multi-Agent Based Data Replication Mechanism for Mobile GridT. Senthilnathan, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In Mobile grid, the mobile devices can be effectively incorporated in to the Grid. It enables both the mobility of the users requesting access to a fixed grid and the resources that are themselves as part of the grid. There are number challenging issues for mobile grid; such as connectivity, availability, maintainability, consistency and fault tolerance. This study … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 13 Feb 2012 · 6,838 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Ontology Driven, Procedural Reasoning System-Like Agent Model, For Multi-Agent Based Mobile Workforce Brokering SystemsArash Mousavi, Md. Jan Nordin, Zulaiha Ali OthmanProblem statement: It has been proven that Believe, Desire, Intention (BDI) agent architecture, performs suitably in dynamic and unpredictable environments. Although BDI architecture has been formulated rigorously, implementing BDI architecture is not as straightforward as it has been promised. Nevertheless, the preeminent implementation of BDI architecture is Procedural Reasoning System (PRS) and Jadex is a Java-based platform that successfully applies … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,664 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecure Mobile Trade AgentMusbah M. Aqel, Sattar J. Aboud, Mohammed A. AL-FayoumiE-commerce on the internet has the ability to produce millions of transactions and a great number of merchants whose supply merchandise over the internet. As a result, it is difficult for entities to roam over every site on the internet and choose the best merchandise to trade. So, in this paper we introduced a mobile trade agent that visit the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 6,766 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleProviding Fairness to Mobile Workforces in an Automated Task Allocation Process: A Semantic Multi-agent ApproachArash Mousavi, Riza Sulaiman, Md. Jan Nordin et al.Problem statement: Mobile Workforces (MW) unlike computational resources of an automated system are active but not passive entities. Therefore, an automated resource allocation system that deals with MWs should assign tasks to them fairly and in a comparatively equal manner. An unfair task allocation in a group will cause dissatisfaction, which in turn demotivates MWs who are supposed to work … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 16 May 2012 · 7,003 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSECURING MOBILE ANT AGENT USING CHINESE REMAINDER THEOREMSrinath Doss, Janet JeyarajRecent days, research in wireless network becomes major area for the past few decades. In wireless routing many routing methods such as table driven, source driven; many characteristics such as reactive routing, proactive routing; many routing algorithms such as dijikstra’s shortest path, distributed bell-man ford algorithm are proposed in the literature. For effective wireless routing, the recent ant colony optimization … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,560 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePerformance Analysis of a Highly Available Home Agent in Mobile NetworksAbdelgadir Tageldin Abdelgadir, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Al-Sakib Khan Pathan et al.Problem statement: Network Mobility as a service is provided by the NEMO protocol in IPv6 environments. NEMO is an extension to MIPv6 and thus inherits the same reliability problems of MIPv6. MIPv6 is not reliable because the Home Agent (HA) is a single point of failure. In order to provide real-time services for MIPv6 networks, reliability should be considered as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2011 · 7,159 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHome Agent Architecture and Algorithms for Mobility Management in Mobile IP NetworksMarcellin Diha, Samuel PierreThis study proposes new Home Agent architecture and algorithms for real-time mobility management in mobile IP networks. The proposed architecture and algorithms offer a better performance based on the call-to-mobility ratio (CMR) and require less time for the location update and the tunneling compared with the Mobile IP model. These results are very useful and interesting for a real-time context … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2006 · 6,899 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Fast Handover Scheme for Multicasting in IPv6 based Mobile Ad hoc NetworksH. Parveen Sultana, M. Pounambal, Dr. P. Venkata KrishnaProblem statement: In the previous researches, steps were taken to resolve the problems of multicasting, after several discussions. Actually these issues were raised, while multicasting packets from Internet Protocol (IP) to Mobile Nodes (MN). On the other hand, there is very little concern about the problem of packet loss reduction. Sometimes the occurrence of multicast service chaos is ignored during … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 16 Dec 2010 · 7,241 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Service Mobility Architecture for SIP EnvironmentsThierno Bah, Samuel Pierre, Roch GlithoLately, the proliferation of small portable devices has driven the introduction of a new mobility concept called service mobility. In order to support service mobility, we introduce a new architecture implementing mechanisms to access end user’s personalized services regardless of his physical location. The proposed architecture leverages on mobile agent technology to transport and move services to the end user’s … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2007 · 6,818 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Framework for Distributed Dynamic Load Balancing in Heterogeneous ClusterNeeraj Nehra, R. B. Patel, V. K. BhatDistributed Dynamic load balancing (DDLB) is an important system function destined to distribute workload among available processors to improve throughput and/or execution times of parallel computer in Cluster Computing. Instead of balancing the load in cluster by process migration, or by moving an entire process to a less loaded computer, we make an attempt to balance load by splitting processes … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2007 · 8,725 accessesView PDFCite
