Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIncorporating Multiple Sources into AMTree ProtocolAli M. Al-Sharafi, Mohamed Othman, Md. N. Sulaiman, Shamala SubramaniamAMTree protocol is an active network based protocol that makes sending packets to receivers-after source migration-an efficient process. AMTree protocol was designed and tested for one mobile source sending to the multicast group. In this research we introduce a method that allows more than one mobile source to send to the multicast session. The results show that end-to-end latencies are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2008 · 6,870 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Comparative Study between Various Protocols of MANET NetworksMohammed F. Al-Hunaity, Salam A. Najim, Ibrahiem M. El-EmaryMulticast Ad-Hoc on-Demand Distance Vector (MAODV) protocol keeps sending control packets within static periods whether there was sending of data packets or not, and it was not concerned with the amount of these data packets. Based on this, many people found out that there are a high number of control packets in the short-lived connection. The main idea of this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,957 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFormal Validation of the Safety Property of Sack Protocol Using Theorem Proving TechniqueZ. Shukur, N. Alias, M. H. Mohamed Halip, B. IdrusThis paper demonstrates the formal validation process of safety properties of Selective ACKnowledgment (SACK) protocol. SACK is a complex communication protocol as it is used in various types of distributed computer systems and networks. This acknowledgment mechanism is used with sliding window protocol that allows the receiver to acknowledge packets received out of order, but within the correct sliding window. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2007 · 6,227 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOn using Mobile IP ProtocolsFayza A. NadaThe recent advances in wireless communication technology and the unprecedented growth of the Internet have paved the way for wireless networking and IP mobility. Mobile Internet protocol has been designed within the IETF to support the mobility of users who wish to connect to the Internet and maintain communications as they move from place to place. This study describes and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 6,727 accessesView PDF Cite
