Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReal-Time Audio Retrieval Method and Automatic Commercial Detecting SystemGuibin Zheng, Jiqing HanThis study presents a robust audio retrieval method and discusses its control strategy. In the method, the retrieval target is divided into short segments, each segment is searched respectively and a retrieval window is used to maintain a list of segments that can be searched simultaneously. The method can quickly detect and locate known sound in real-time audio stream, multimedia … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,870 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign of a High-Performance IP Switching ArchitectureHattab Guesmi, Belgacem Bouallegue, Ridha Djemal, Rached TourkiIn this study we present the architecture for use in high-performance switching networks with support quality of service (QoS) guarantees. Quality of services guarantees in terms of delay, through-put and loss rate can be provided by using mechanism's support like scheduling and buffer management at switching architecture in packet switching networks. Our architecture is based on a new data structure … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,811 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNumerical Simulation of a Turbulent Lean, Premixed Combustion with an Explicit Algebraic Stress ModelWilliam Vicente, Martín Salinas-Vázquez, Eliseo Martínez, Alejandro RodríguezA computational model is used in the present paper to study the influence of the turbulence modeling on the chemical species in a turbulent lean premixed flame. The simulated configuration is about a lean, premixed bluff-body-stabilized flame with a recirculation zone. To achieve the objectives, three different models were used for turbulence modeling as listed next: 1) standard k-ε, 2) … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,316 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRetrieving Information from the Invisible Web Using Mobile AgentsFabien-Kenzo Sato, Samuel Pierre, Roch H. GlithoThis study proposes a model of information retrieval on the invisible Web by using the mobile agent paradigm. The developed architecture uses the power of a search engine to provide a list of sites of the invisible Web which are likely to be relevant and launches a dynamic search on these sites, thanks to mobile agents. To compare and experiment … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,839 accessesView PDFCite
