Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImage Compression Algorithms Using Intensity Based Adaptive Quantization CodingSaad Al-Azawi, Said Boussakta, Alex YakovlevProblem statement: Low complexity image compression algorithms are necessary for modern portable devices such as mobile phones, wireless sensor networks and high constraint power consumption devices. In such applications low bit rate along with an acceptable image quality are an essential requirements. Approach: This study proposes low and moderate complexity algorithms for colour image compression. Two algorithms will be presented; … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 18 Jan 2012 · 8,501 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluation of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol in HetMAN ArchitectureZahian Ismail, Rosilah HassanProblem statement: Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), a type of network with special characteristics, needs a special mechanism to bear with its ad hoc behavior. Approach: The important issue in MANET is routing protocol. Routing protocol is a standard used to determine the route path taken during the transmission of data. Results: In this study we focused on the Ad … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 6,336 accessesView PDFCite

AL-SmadiThis paper mainly studies data transmission DT rate in the modern communication systems. Increasing the need to improve the sensitivity of the control systems to detect low signals weak capacity density in view of the increasing communications systems new radio that use the capacity is decreasing and the scope of the taking of spaciousness and frequencies are on the rise. … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 3 Feb 2017 · 9,087 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMobility and Handover Technique in Heterogeneous Wireless NetworksRadhwan Abdullah, Zuriati Zukarnain, Farzaneh Masoumiyan, Azizol AbdullahThe management techniques for Mobile IPv6 between different wireless technologies are very important to complete the handover process with the least possible delay. In the fast handover, when a mobile node moves to another network, it needs to do handover operations. These operations have a severe impact on the handover latency. This paper proposes an Enhanced Advanced Duplicate Address Detection … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2015 · 6,756 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSECURE WIRELESS AD HOC NETWORKS USING ZERO KNOWLEDGE PROOFBenfano Soewito, Yonathan Marcellinus, Manik HapsaraA Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a group of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically form a network without any pre-established infrastructure or centralized administration, Soewito (2014). Some network hops may be needed to send a packet from one node to another node in the MANET. To do the communication between the nodes, a route has to be selected in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 26 Dec 2014 · 7,869 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMobile Anonymous Trust Based Routing Using Ant Colony OptimizationR. Kalpana, N. RengarajanProblem statement: Ad hoc networks are susceptible to malicious attacks through denial of services, traffic analysis and spoofing. The security of the ad hoc routing protocol depends upon encryption, authentication, anonymity and trust factors. End-to-end security of data is provided by encryption and authentication, topology information of the nodes can be obtained by studying traffic and routing data. This security … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 30 Jun 2012 · 6,948 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBluetooth Wireless Monitoring, Managing and Control for Inter Vehicle in Vehicular Ad-Hoc NetworksHelia Mamdouhi, Sabira Khatun, Javad ZarrinProblem statement: The car users expect more and more accessories available in their cars, but the accessories available needed manage by driver manually and not properly manage by smart system. All these accessories are able to control by user manually using different and standalone controllers. Besides, the controller itself uses RF technology which is not existed in mobile devices. So … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 8,982 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTCP Optimal Performance in Wireless Networks ApplicationsEmad Qaddoura, Abdelghani Daraiseh, Wesam Al Mobaideen et al.Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,422 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Fuzzy Logic Based Power Control for Wideband Code Division Multiple Access Wireless NetworksN. Mohan, T. RavichandranProblem statement: Resource management is one of the most important engineering issues in 3G systems where multiple traffic classes are supported each being characterized by its required Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. Call Admission Control (CAC) is one of the resource management functions, which regulates network access to ensure QoS provisioning.
