It was the most economical modulator and decimation in communication system. It has been proven to increase the SNR and is used in many high performance systems such as in the … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 5 Nov 2010 · 7,815 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Study of Parameters Relationship to Backcutting Phenomena During High Speed End Milling of AISI H13Erry Yulian T. Adesta, Afifah Mohd Ali, Delvis Agusman et al.Problem statement: In die and mold industries, surface roughness of the dies and molds produced will determine the end product quality. Therefore, the desired finish surface was specified and the appropriate processes were selected to reach the required quality. Among many contributors to surface quality problem, backcutting is one of the factors influencing the surface roughness. Approach: The aim for … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2010 · 7,509 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleOn-Chip Implementation of High Resolution High Speed Floating Point Adder/Subtractor with Reducing Mean Latency for OFDMRozita Teymourzadeh, Yazan Samir Algnabi, Nooshin Mahdavi, Masuri Bin OthmanProblem statement: Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is widely applied in OFDM trance-receiver communications system. Hence efficient FFT algorithm is always considered. Approach: This study proposed FPGA realization of high resolution high speed low latency floating point adder/subtractor for FFT in OFDM trance-receiver. The design was implemented for 32 bit pipelined adder/subtractor which satisfied IEEE-754 standard for floating-point arithmetic. The design … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,924 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePrediction Studies for the Performance of a Single Cylinder High Speed Spark Ignition Linier Engine with Spring Mechanism as Return CycleA.Z.M. Fathallah, R.A. BakarProblem statement: Most concepts of linear engines were constructed as opposed pistons with complicated control devise to drive the engines. The advantage of the engines was their high overall efficiency. Approach: Although the efficiency was higher than conventional engine, however, it did not be applied yet, because the design of these engines was not only difficult to fabricate, but also … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2009 · 7,302 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSimulations of Two-dimensional High Speed Turbulent Compressible Flow in a Diffuser and a Nozzle Blade CascadeK. C. Ng, M. Z. Yusoff, T. F. YusafThis research describes the development of a new structured 2D CFD solver for compressible flow. The high-speed turbulent flow in a diffuser and a cascade of nozzle blade is predicted using standard k-ε turbulence model. The new finite volume CFD solver employs second-order accurate central differencing scheme for spatial discretization and multi-stage Runge-Kutta time integration to solve the set of … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,550 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDesign a New Bidirectional Transmission Protocol to Improve the Performance of MAC Layer Based on Very High Speed WLANsAli Ahmad Milad, Zul Azri Bin Muhamad Noh, Abdul Samad Shibghatullah et al.This paper presents a new bidirectional transmission protocol with single data frame to computing the performance of MAC layer based on IEEE 802.11n. As high as 600 Mbps of physical data rate is achieved in IEEE 802.11n where high data rate the current MAC layer leads to high performance overhead and low performance of throughput and designing the MAC layer … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 5 · 23 Jun 2015 · 6,948 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleLow Power Hardware Implementation of High Speed FFT CoreM. Kannan, S. K. SrivatsaApplications based on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) such as signal and image processing require high computational power. This paper proposes the implementation of radix-4 based parallel-pipelined Fast Fourier Transform processor which incorporates a low power commutator, butter-fly with multiplier-less architecture. The proposed parallel pipelined architectures have the advantages of high throughput and low power consumption. The multiplier-less architecture uses shift … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2007 · 7,227 accessesView PDFCite
