Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractController Design for Steer-by-Wire SystemSalahaddin M. Sahboun, Abdulrahman A. A. EmhemedThis study would address the suitability, adaptability and the efficiency of the electronically - controlled Steer-by-Wire (SbW) technology. Future steering technology heading for a fault tolerant and fail-safe steering system with enviable recoverability; electronically - controlled SbW with a back-up would be the best option to meet these demands. With mechanical connections between the hand wheel and front axle gradually … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 24 Jan 2022 · 6,794 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDynamic Control Allocation through Kalman FilteringGianfranco Morani, Francesco Nebula, Federico Corraro, Marco AriolaControl Allocation (CA) in aviation is the problem of distributing the commands among the available actuation means, in order to ensure the achievements of the moments requested by the flight control laws. CA plays a key role in fault-tolerant control systems since it gives robust performances and stability also in presence of faults to one or more aircraft actuators. In … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 1 · 12 Feb 2019 · 8,837 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractResearch on Security Protocol for Collaborating Mobile Agents in Network Intrusion Detection SystemsOlumide Simeon Ogunnusi, Shukor Abd RazakDespite the popularity of mobile agents in academic and commercial arena, the security issues associated with them have hindered their adoption on large scale distributed applications. However, researchers are making relentless effort to overcome the security impediments so that the interesting properties inherent in mobile agent application, especially in the field of intrusion detection, can be harnessed. Such properties include: … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 7 Nov 2013 · 6,702 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractINJECT AN ELASTIC GRID COMPUTING TECHNIQUES TO OPTIMAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUE OPERATIONSR. Surendran, B. Parvatha VarthiniEvaluation of sharing on the Internet well- developed from energetic technique of grid computing. Dynamic Grid Computing is Resource sharing in large level high performance computing networks at worldwide. Existing systems have a Limited innovation for resource management process. In proposed work, Grid Computing is an Internet based computing for Optimal Resource Management Technique Operations (ORMTO). Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Efficient Fault Tolerant Scheduling Approach for Computational GridP. Keerthika, N. KasthuriGrid computing serves as an important technology to facilitate distributed computation computational grids solve large scale scientific problems using heterogeneous geographically distributed resources. Problems like dispatching and scheduling of tasks are considered as major issues in computational grid environment. The Grid Scheduler must select proper resources for executing the tasks with less response time. There are various reasons such as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 5 Jan 2013 · 6,995 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRealization of Fault Tolerant Routing Protocol for ZigbeeSharmila Sankar, SankaranarayananProblem statement: Increased use of handheld devices and sensor devices pose problems in existing routing protocols. The performance of the existing routing protocols deteriorates very much on these dense scenarios. Control overheads are very important parameter in deciding the performance of routing protocols, which are introduced during route discovery and maintenance process. Denser the network, higher is the control overhead … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 2 Mar 2012 · 6,827 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSliding Mode Observer-Based Fault Reconstruction for Uncertain Linear SystemsSlim Dhahri, Faycal Ben Hmida, Anis SellamiProblem statement: Fault reconstruction scheme is different from the majority of Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI) methods described in the literature in the sense that it not only detects and isolates the fault, but provides an estimate of the fault. This approach is very useful for incipient faults and slow drifts, which are very difficult to detect. Also, this approach … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 8 Sep 2011 · 7,350 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Robust Byzantine Fault-Tolerant Replication Technique for Peer-to-Peer Content DistributionAyyasamy Sellappan, Sivanandam NatarajanProblem statement: In peer-to-peer networks, Byzantine fault tolerance refers to the capability of a system to tolerate Byzantine faults. It can be achieved by replicating the server and by ensuring all server replicas reach an agreement on the input despite Byzantine faulty replicas and clients. Since malicious attacks and software errors can cause faulty nodes to exhibit Byzantine behavior, Byzantine-fault-tolerant … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 7,056 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIrregular Class of Multistage Interconnection Network in Parallel ProcessingSandeep Sharma, K. S. Kahlon, P. K. Bansal, Kawaljeet SinghA major problem in designing a large-scale parallel and distributed system was the construction of an Interconnection Network (IN) to provide inter-processor communication. One of the biggest issues in the development of such a system was the development of an effective architecture and algorithms that have high reliability, give good performance (even in the presence of faults), low cost, low … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,057 accessesView PDFCite
