Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractVideo Coding Technique Using 3D Dualtree Discrete Wavelet Transform with Multi Objective Particle Swarm Optimization ApproachesThamarai Muthusamy, Shanmugalakshmi RamachandranWavelet-based image compression with Wavelet transform based motion compensated video codec performs better compression to meet the rate and distortion constraints in video transmission with the available bandwidth than the block based techniques. However, it is well known that the 2D DWT does not represent directional features of images efficiently. Lots of efforts have been contributed to multiscale directional representation. … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 20 Feb 2013 · 6,595 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPeak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction Using Active Constellation Extension-Projection Onto Convex Sets Combined with Particle Swarm Optimization Added to Space Time Bloc Coding in Multiple Input Multiple Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing SystemAhmed Ouqour, Abdelhamid Louliej, Younes Jabrane et al.When generated Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signal is transmitted through a number of antennas in order to achieve diversity or cap any gain (higher transmission rate) then it is known as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO)-OFDM. The full form of MIMO is multi input and multi output where signals are transmitted via multiple antennas instead of only one antenna … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 12 Dec 2012 · 6,995 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Novel Multidictionary Based Text CompressionM. Baritha Begum, Y. VenkataramaniThe amount of digital contents grows at a faster speed as a result does the demand for communicate them. On the other hand, the amount of storage and bandwidth increases at a slower rate. Thus powerful and efficient compression methods are required. The repetition of words and phrases cause the reordered text much more compressible than the original text. On … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 8 Nov 2012 · 6,946 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance, Analysis of Filtering Schedule Using Deblocking Filter for the Reduction of Block Artifacts from MPEQ Compressed Document ImagesM. Anto Bennet, I. Jacob RaglendProblem statement: The visual effects of blocking artifacts can be reduce by using deblocking filter. Also with out smoothing the natural edges, the perceived quality of video sequence can be enchanced. This study propose a method to remove blocking artifacts in low bit-rate block based video coding. Approach: The proposed algorithm has two separate filtering modes, which are selected by pixel … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 8 Aug 2012 · 7,269 accessesView PDFCite
