Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign of Telemedicine Robot using Behavior-based Control Architecture with Two-Step Fuzzy Logic OptimizationAndi Adriansyah, Nanda Ferdana, Setiyo Budiyanto, Julpri AndikaDesigning a telemedicine robot is a challenging task. Complexity, incomplete prior knowledge of the environment and unexpected situations set strict requirements for both the hardware and software components of the robot. Several robotics architectures have been proposed that try to cope with the above problems. The behavior-based approach has been established as the main alternative to new robot control. The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 11 · 13 Nov 2019 · 7,579 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCan Emotional Stability Buffer the Effect of Job Stress on Deviant Behavior?Aminah Ahmad, Zoharah Omar, Farah Mardiana Radzali, Mohammed Bashir SaiduThe interrelationships between job stress, WDB and emotional stability have not been studied in a model to comprehend whether emotional stability could weaken the impact of job stress on employee deviant behavior. We tested a model on the moderating role of emotional stability, a personality factor, in the relationship between job stress and workplace deviant behavior. The model was developed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 7 · 30 Jun 2017 · 8,595 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOpportunistic Behavior as Behavior ManipulationsElena Yakovleva, Natalia Grigoryeva, Olga GrigoryevaThe study of opportunistic behavior in relation with manipulation techniques is important because it directly affects the efficiency of agent's relationship. We identified two forms of opportunistic behavior that depend on the subject composition of the contractual relationship. In the article we attempt to identify significant techniques of manipulation of information. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleInvestigating the Dynamic Thermal Behavior of Building Envelope in Summer Conditions By Means of in-Field Continuous MonitoringAnna Laura Pisello, Gloria Pignatta, Cristina Piselli et al.The effect of dynamic properties of building opaque envelope in summer conditions is investigated by means of an extensive continuous monitoring of a dedicated experimental field. Two test-buildings, a weather station and two microclimate stations positioned in each test-building represent the experimental field. The prototype buildings have been specifically designed to present the same stationary envelope properties, but different construction … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 25 Apr 2016 · 8,555 accessesView PDFCite
InvestigationOpen accessEvery word in the titleInvestigating the Parameters Influencing the Behavior of Knee Braced Steel StructuresEdris Farokhi, Mehrdad GordiniIn Knee-Braced Frames (KBF), the brace is connected to the knee element rather than the beam-column joint. For reasons such as having sufficient lateral stiffness despite its adequate ductile behavior, the concentration of damage in the Double Knee-Braced structural elements and also ease of repair and replacement of these elements after an earthquake, this bracing system is preferred over conventional … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 21 Sep 2015 · 7,808 accessesView PDFCite
