BaniotopoulosTubular steel towers are the most common supporting structure of wind converters. The towers’ foundation covers an important part of the initial cost and its configuration depends heavily on the type of subsoil. Onshore structures are founded on spread footing foundations or pile foundations with the first being the commonest. In these spread footing foundations, the tower is either embedded … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 23 Nov 2015 · 8,394 accessesView PDFCite

DhavachelvanWith the increase in the need and demand for evolving Web services, the rate at which changes are made to the services has increased. In case of importunate change requests, there arise critical situations where the business analysts are subjected to make changes by themselves without the aid of the developers because of the time and cost factors. However, there … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 12 May 2014 · 6,641 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleQUALITY BASED SPEAKER VERIFICATION SYSTEMS USING FUZZY INFERENCE FUSION SCHEMELydia Abdul Hamid, Dzati Athiar RamliPerformances of single biometric speaker verification systems are outstanding in clean condition but drop significantly in noisy condition. Implementation of multibiometric systems is one of the solutions to this limitation. However, in order to ensure the performances of multibiometric systems are sustained, the optimum weight for the fusion system must be determined correctly according to the quality of current data. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 3 Dec 2013 · 6,898 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleStatistical Approach for Offline Handwritten Signature VerificationDebnath Bhattacharyya, Samir Kumar Bandyopadhyay, Poulami Das et al.Signatures were considered an important tool for authenticating the identity of human beings. So, signature verification was one of the biggest uses for that. We proposed an algorithmic approach for the verification of handwritten signatures by applying some statistical methods. The research work was based on the collection of set of signatures from which an average signature was obtained based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,475 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImproved Offline Signature Verification Scheme Using Feature Point Extraction MethodDebasish Jena, Banshidhar Majhi, Sanjay K. JenaSignature verification is a technology that can solve security problems in our networked society. A new improved offline signature verification scheme is proposed which is based on selecting 60 feature points from the geometric centre of the signature and compares them with the already trained feature points. The classification of the feature points utilizes statistical parameters like mean and variance. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2008 · 6,884 accessesView PDFCite
