Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsIntrusion-Resistant Multi-Hop Communication Protocol for Secure Wireless Sensor NetworksRakesh Ranjan, Vaishali Singh, Hitendra SinghModern Internet of Things (IoT) systems are based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which can be distributed to various environments to perform a range of sensing and data aggregation. Their intrinsic deficiencies in computation, energy, and bandwidth, however, make them very vulnerable to routing-layer attacks like black hole and selective forwarding as well as Sybil intrusion. The current studies on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 6 · 1 Jul 2026 · 935 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSelf-Managed Federation of MQTT Brokers with Dynamic Topology ControlBruno Bevilaqua, Marco Aurélio SpohnThe Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol is most used in Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The protocol implements the Publish/Subscribe (P/S) communication model. Publishers are entities providing data to a server (broker), and subscribers are those showing interest in such data. The standard MQTT scenario relies on a single broker, a potential bottleneck, and a single point of failure. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 11 · 18 Oct 2023 · 5,248 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsProposing a Hybrid Topological Organization for Non-Misbehaving Nodes with Optimal Path Selection Using Game-Theoretic ApproachKanmani S, M. MuraliIn dynamic communication networks, improvement of energy efficiency is one of the major challenges for reliable communication. By considering this challenge, we focus to develop the topology of the network. In this study, we design a hybrid star-mesh topology for minimizing the latency as well as energy consumption of the network. In the hybrid network topology, the Ad-Hoc On-Demand Multipath … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 10 · 31 Aug 2023 · 5,397 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Review on Ultra Reliable and Low Latency Communications (PHY and MAC Layer Perspectives)Prinu Chacko Philip, Mohammed Abdel-HafezFifth Generation (5G) wireless network plays major attention in the communication scenario due to the advanced features in data transmission. 5G is designed to overcome the issues, such as data rate, reliability, throughput, latency and capacity in the wireless network domains. The 5G wire-less services aim to increase the data rate through massive communication services. In this survey, well known … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 8 · 1 Sep 2020 · 6,991 accessesView PDFCite
Technical ReportOpen accessIn the keywordsA Mobile Ad hoc Cloud Computing and Networking Infrastructure for Automated Video Surveillance SystemSayed Chhattan ShahMobile automated video surveillance system involves application of real-time image and video processing algorithms which require a vast quantity of computing and storage resources. To support the execution of mobile automated video surveillance system, a mobile ad hoc cloud computing and networking infrastructure is proposed in which multiple mobile devices interconnected through a mobile ad hoc network are combined to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 23 Dec 2017 · 8,500 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPerformance of Energy Detection and Matched Filter Receivers in Human Body Communication ChannelMohamad Abou El-Nasr, Heba Shaban, Mohammed Al-AbyadhThis study studies the Bit-Error-Rate (BER) performance of matched filter and energy detection receivers in Human Body Communication (HBC) channel model. HBC, as defined by the IEEE 802.15 Task Group (TG) 6, is a Body Area Network (BAN) at frequency band 5-50 MHz, where communication is from body surface to body surface. The Bit-Error-Rate (BER) performance is investigated for Energy … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 5 Jan 2013 · 6,694 accessesView PDFCite
