Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Model of Cyber Extremists' Rhetorical Structure Towards Protecting Critical InfrastructureOsman Khairunnisa, Jano Zanariah, Ahmad RabiahMuch research at present focuses on the ways in which organizations secure their networks and information in the supply chain, ignoring the ways in which organizations construct and understand the core of the cybersecurity risks. Cybersecurity focuses more on defense mechanisms such as anti-virus software, malware protection, firewall and more on securing network and application. More research to understand extremist … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 6 · 14 Mar 2024 · 5,183 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNovel Scheme for Enhancing Storage Management and Performance and Saving Energy of Mobile Cloud ComputingAli A. Yassin, Abdulla J. Yassin, Abdullah Mohammed Rashid, Ahmed A. AlkadhmaweeModern industries for smart mobile devices, such as smartphones, provide end users with interactive features that consider network accessibility, computation performance, storage usage, energy saving and limited battery resources. The combination of cloud and mobile computing capabilities has introduced a new technology called Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC), which has extended smartphones and modern mobile devices beyond their core capacities. Many … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 9 May 2019 · 7,871 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPERFORMANCE OF TOPOLOGY AWARE RELIABLE ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR LARGE SCALE VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORKJayanthi Gokulakrishnan, V. Thulasi BaiA network which merges the usage of the public and the private networks and uses security software for the purpose of compressing, encrypting and masking the digital packets that are being transmitted in the network is called as Virtual Private Network (VPN). In VPN, the communication between the user ends is maintained such that it appears as if the source … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 23 Jun 2014 · 6,662 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCONSUMERS’ PERCEIVED RISK AND ITS EFFECT ON ADOPTION OF ONLINE BANKING SERVICESFereshteh Farzianpour, Mahsa Pishdar, Masoumeh Danesh Shakib, Mohammad Reza Seyyed Hashemi TolounAlthough online banking services have gained a lot of attention, many consumers are still not willing to use them. Since online banking services can be a competitive advantage for banks, it is useful to know the core factors affecting the use of online banking services. This study sheds light on different aspects of consumers’ perceived risk to analyses the influence … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 23 Nov 2013 · 8,362 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHALF OF THRESHOLD ALGORITHM: AN ENHANCED LINEAR ADAPTIVE SKIPPING TRAINING ALGORITHM OR MULTILAYER FEEDFORWARD NEURAL NETWORKSManjula Devi Ramasamy, Kuppuswami Subbaraya GounderMultilayer Feed Forward Neural Network (MFNN) has been successfully administered architectures for solving a wide range of supervised pattern recognition tasks. The most problematic task of MFNN is training phase which consumes very long training time on very huge training datasets. An enhanced linear adaptive skipping training algorithm for MFNN called Half of Threshold (HOT) is proposed in this research … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 22 Nov 2013 · 7,016 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Dynamic Approach for Rate Adaptation in Mobile Adhoc NetworksPalaniammal Senniappan, Suganya SubramaniamA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of mobile nodes with no fixed infrastructure. The absence of central authorization facility in dynamic and distributed environment affects the optimal utilization of resources like, throughput, power and bandwidth. Rate adaptation is the key technique to optimize the resource throughput. Some recently proposed rate adaptations use Request to Send/Clear to Send … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 8 Jun 2013 · 6,673 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Message Passing Interface Collective Communication on Intel Xeon Quad-Core Gigabit Ethernet and Infiniband ClustersRoswan Ismail, Nor Asilah Wati Abdul Hamid, Mohamed Othman, Rohaya LatipThe performance of MPI implementation operations still presents critical issues for high performance computing systems, particularly for more advanced processor technology. Consequently, this study concentrates on benchmarking MPI implementation on multi-core architecture by measuring the performance of Open MPI collective communication on Intel Xeon dual quad-core Gigabit Ethernet and InfiniBand clusters using SKaMPI. It focuses on well known collective communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 9 May 2013 · 7,206 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA 2-12 GHz Low Noise Amplifier Design for Ultra Wide Band ApplicationsV. Vaithianathan, J. Raja, R. SrinivasanProblem statement: The Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) is a core block of an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) receiver since it amplifies a very weak signal received at the antenna to acceptable levels while introducing less self-generated noise and distortions. The LNA design poses a unique challenge as it requires simultaneous optimization of various performance parameters like power gain, input matching, … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 9 Jun 2012 · 7,397 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCongestion Free Routing in Adhoc NetworksT. Senthil Kumaran, V. SankaranarayananProblem statement: A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a temporary network; the mobile devices in an ad-hoc network are communicating through wireless links without any pre-existing infrastructure. The one major problem of this network is network congestion, it may take place at any intermediate nodes when data packets are traveling from source to destination.
