Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn Hyperplanes of the Geometry D4,2 and their Related CodesAbdelsalam Abou ZaydaProblem statement: The point-line geometry of type D4,2 was introduced and characterized by many authors such as Shult and Buekenhout and in several researches many of geometries were considered to construct good families of codes and this forced us to present very important substructures in such geometry that are hyperplanes. Approach: We used the isomorphic classical polar space Ω+(8, F) … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2009 · 7,103 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign of Output Codes for Fast Covering Learning using Basic Decomposition TechniquesAruna Tiwari, Narendra S. ChaudhariWe propose the design of output codes for solving the classification problem in Fast Covering Learning Algorithm (FCLA). For a complex multi-class problem normally the classifiers are constructed by combining the outputs of several binary ones. In this paper, we use the basic methods of decomposition; one per class (OPC) and Error Correcting Output Code (ECOC) with FCLA, binary to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,302 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSegmented Block Cipher Algorithm Based on ASCII-Codes ManeuverShadi Rasheed Masadeh, Hamza Abbass Al-SewadiDue to their complexity, computation time and power requirement, the secure and widely used cryptographic systems such as 3DES and AES may not be considered suitable for applications like mobile and remote sensing of sensitive data. Therefore, secure but less complicated algorithms for data encryption are still sought. This paper suggests a new Segmented Block Cipher Algorithm (SBCA) is a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 15 Dec 2017 · 6,899 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImplementation of a Novel Concatenated FEC by RS and Irregular Turbo Codes on OFDM SystemsA. Shanmugam, A. R. Abdul Rajak, S. Vishwanath, R. UpendraCode Division Multiple Access (CDMA) performs well in a multi-cellular environment where a single frequency is used in all cells. Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) has severe problems associated with multipath and Channel news. One possible problem is that the receiver may require a very large dynamic range in order to handle the large signal strength variation among users. Due … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2005 · 7,039 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCodesign Methodology of Real-time Embedded Controllers for Electromechanical SystemsSlim Ben Saoud, Andreas Gerstlauer, Daniel D. GajskiUnder increasing time-to-market pressures in the electric drives industries, the development time of new algorithms and new control systems including their debugging time must be minimized. This requirement can be satisfied only by using a well-defined system-level design methodology and by reducing the migration time between the algorithm development language and the hardware specification language. In this study, we propose … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,444 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPatients’ Knowledge and Perception on Nurses’ Adherence to Nurses’ Professional Code of Ethics in Ghana: A Cross-Sectional SurveyAugustine Kumah, Hilda Agortimevor, Prosper Kpobi et al.In recent times, the showcasing of professional ethical standards at workplaces has become an imperative issue of interest in almost all professions including the health profession in general and nursing. This study investigated patient's knowledge and perception of patients on Nurses' adherence to their professional codes of ethics in Ghana, using Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua as a case study. Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPreliminary Analysis of Malware Detection in Opcode Sequences within IoT EnvironmentFiras Shihab Ahmed, Norwati Mustapha, Aida Mustapha et al.With the technological development and means of communication, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become an essential role in providing many services in daily life through millions of heterogeneous but interconnected devices and nodes. This development is opening to many security and privacy challenges that can cause complete network breakdown, bypassed access control or the loss of critical data. Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Cryptosystem Using the Concepts of Algebraic Geometric CodeK. V. Pramod, C. ManjuProblem statement: Cryptosystem using linear codes was developed in 1978 by Mc-Eliece. Later in 1985 Niederreiter and others developed a modified version of cryptosystem using concepts of linear codes. But these systems were not used frequently because of its larger key size. In this study we were designing a cryptosystem using the concepts of algebraic geometric codes with smaller key … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,444 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsStock Return, Growth and Inflation in India: Analysis of Stochastic Seasonality, Impulse Response and Multivariate GARCHPanchanan DasThis study analyses the empirical interdependence among asset returns, industrial growth and inflation after controlling for interest rate by considering stochastic seasonality and conditional volatility with monthly time series in India. The HEGY unit root test suggests that industrial growth and inflation experience only stochastic trend and no persistent stochastic behaviour at any other seasonal frequencies, while stock return follows … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 18, Issue 1 · 3 May 2021 · 7,344 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe Effect of Sponsorship Activities and Consumer-Oriented Activities on Growth PerformanceMiray Çelik, Volkan ÖngelSponsorship activities, which mean that an organization should be supported by another institution to promote itself or a product without waiting for monetary provisions, is an important tactical move for companies that want to gain competitive advantage today. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of sponsorship activities and consumer-oriented activities on the firm's growth performance.
