Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNovel Apache Spark based Algorithm to Solve Dirichlet Problem for Poisson Equation in 3D Computational DomainShomanov Aday, Mansurova MadinaParallel computations are essential tool in solving large-scale computationally demanding problems. Due to large diversity and heterogeneity of the currently available parallel processing techniques and paradigms it is usually difficult to find the right solution that will perform well according to every performance metric. As one of the recent developments in parallel computing Apache Spark framework allows to process petabyte-scale … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 12, Issue 10 · 15 Dec 2016 · 7,049 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAUTOMATIC MUSIC EMOTION CLASSIFICATION USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK BASED ON VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL SOUND TIMBRESMudiana Binti Mokhsin, Nurlaila Binti Rosli, Suzana Zambri et al.Detecting emotion features in a song remains as a challenge in various area of research especially in Music Emotion Classification (MEC). In order to classify selected song with certain mood or emotion, the algorithms of the machine learning must be intelligent enough to learn the data features as to match the features accordingly to the accurate emotion. Until now, there … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 29 Dec 2014 · 8,527 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Algorithm for Fractal Coding Using Self Organizing MapS. Bhavani, k. ThanushkodiProblem statement: In medical imaging, lossy compression schemes are generally not used due to possible loss of useful clinical information and also degradations may result in lossy compression owing to operations like enhancement. As the medical images are huge in size a good lossy compression technology is required to store them in medical archives in an economical manner. There is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 15 Mar 2012 · 7,583 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordIntegrating (OLAP) Online Analytical Processing With a Fast Algorithm for Epileptic Seizures DetectionIlyas Zidane, Wajih Rhalem, Nordine ZidaneEpilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, significantly impacting the quality of life of patients. Effective detection and analysis of epileptic seizures are crucial for timely intervention and management. This paper presents the integration of a fast algorithm for epileptic seizures detection with an OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) system using a star schema data warehouse model. By leveraging … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 10 · 12 Oct 2026 · 678 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordInternet of Things and Human Neocortex Inspired Algorithms for the Plant Disease Prediction-Sheath Blight for Paddy PlantThangaraj Ethilu, K. Parthiban, Arockia Jayadhas S et al.Sheath blight disease (Rhizoctonia solani) poses a critical threat to paddy (Oryza sativa) production, causing up to 50% yield losses under conducive environmental conditions. Existing computer vision-based disease detection systems identify infections only after symptom manifestation, while conventional machine learning prediction models suffer from high computational demands, data preprocessing requirements, and noise sensitivity. This research proposes a novel Hierarchical Temporal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 11 · 18 Dec 2025 · 1,772 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDecoding Discrepancies: Understanding Rating and Review Gaps in Best-Selling ProductsJyoti S Verma, Jaimin N UndaviaClassification of the sentiment and using it for the rating prediction is the major task don in this paper. The emotions and opinions are expressed by the users about a product on the e-commerce website and this provides the basis for the prediction done here. The prediction of the rating enables both the user as well as the seller as … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 6 · 29 May 2025 · 5,025 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEfficient Data Encryption for Securing HDFS Using DQN-Enhanced Deep Reinforcement Learning TechniquesShivani Awasthi, Narendra KohliIn the era of big data, ensuring the security of large-scale distributed storage systems like the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) is critical. Traditional encryption methods often struggle to balance robust security with system performance, leading to vulnerabilities and inefficiencies. This study presents the design and implementation of an efficient data encryption algorithm for securing HDFS using Deep Q-Network (DQN) … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 4 · 4 Mar 2025 · 6,376 accessesView PDFCite
