Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Classification of Techniques for Web Usage AnalysisHaider Ramadhan, Muna Hatem, Zuhoor Al-Khanjri, Swamy KuttiTechniques which assist in recognizing various access patterns and interests of the Web users are normally referred to as an application of Web usage mining. The application provides useful insights to address crucial points such as user interests into a particular page, server load balancing, Web site reorganization, clustering of similar browsing patterns, classification of user profiles, content caching or … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,783 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMusic Information Retrieval Schemes in Peer-to-Peer EnvironmentsChaokun Wang, Jianzhong Li, Shengfei ShiPeer-to-peer systems are useful tools for music applications. Existing peer-to-peer systems support the storing and sharing of music data, however they cannot effectively and efficiently support the content-based information retrieval and the cooperation of musicians. This study focuses on the methods of content-based music information retrieval in peer-to-peer environments. Four music information retrieval schemes are evaluated in detail on communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,551 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIdentification, Characterization and Quantification of Elastomeric/Plastomeric Waste for Sustainable Waste MinimizationKajal Yadav, Sangita, A. ChandraThe present study focuses on the importance of characterization of waste/post consumer polymers. In recent years sophisticated instrumental techniques played an important role in identification and characterization of polymers. Advances in computer techniques have been combined with analytical instruments to give analytical speed, resolution and minimal sample requirements unimagined a few years ago. The present study deals with the development … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 7,056 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLarge Eddy Simulation of an Ammonia JetM. Salinas-Vazquez, A. Espinosa, E. Barrios, W. VicenteA compressible jet flow of ammonia was studied through a series of Large Eddy Simulations. Simulations were focused in the zone where the inertial effects are much bigger than the gravitational ones. The ammonia jet is discharged into an air medium and the gases are treated as a two non-reactive ideal gas mixture. Different simulations were performed, going from the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2005 · 6,740 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOptimization of Field Development Scheduling, East Unity Oil Field, SudanTagwa A. Musa, Ahmed A.E. Ibrahin, Guan ZhenLiang, Fei QiIn order to improve the reservoir performance in East Unity oil field Sudan, the studies focused on characterization, modeling and simulation of the actual performance and future development. A model was constructed using a three-phase, three dimensional, black oil simulator (ECLIPSE). In this study a data from East Unity oil field Sudan started production at July 1999 was used to … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2005 · 7,157 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractParallel Iterative Algorithms with Accelerate Convergence for Solving Implicit Difference EquationsQing-Fu Liu, Wei-Jun Zhong, Mancho ManevThis study focuses on the solution of implicit difference equations, which are very difficult to compute in parallel for the diffusion equation. For improving the convergence rates and the properties of gradual-approach convergence of Segment-Classic-Implicit-Iterative (SCII) and Segment-Crank-Nicolson-Iterative (SCNI) algorithms realizing efficient iterative computation in parallel by segmenting grid domains, SCII and SCNI algorithms with accelerated convergence are studied and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2004 · 6,799 accessesView PDFCite
