Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Analysis of Power Aware Congestion Control Multipath Multicast Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NetworkDuraiswamy Karuppaswamy, Vijayaragavan ShanmugamProblem statement: In MANETs, wireless link transmission errors, mobility and congestion are major causes for packet loss. Mobility may cause packet loss in different ways. Whereas congestion in a network occurs, whenever the demands exceed the maximum capacity of a communication link especially when multiple hosts try to access a shared media simultaneously. Approach: In this study, we proposed a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 2 Nov 2010 · 7,038 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordRandom Graph Generation Based p-Method and Box Method for the Evaluation of Power-Aware Routing Protocols of Ad hoc NetworksSaleh H. Al-SharaehThe objective of this paper is to investigate the best solution such that on which decision should be made to forward a wireless packet. The decision should be made in such a way to keep the node alive by choosing an alternate path, through those nodes that have more power reserve. Minimizing the consumption of the reserve power will results … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 6,762 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Novel Multicast Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksZeyad M. Alfawaer, GuiWei Hua, Noraziah AhmedIn mobile ad hoc networks, how to achieve the multicast communication is a challenging task due to the fact that the topology may change frequently and communication links may be broken because of users' mobility. We introduced MANHSI (Multicast for Ad hoe Network with hybrid Swarm Intelligence) protocol, which relies on a swarm intelligence based optimization technique to learn and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 7,297 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordParticle Swarm Optimization-Based Routing Protocol for Clustered Heterogeneous Sensor Networks with Mobile SinkR. Sudarmani, K.R. Shankar KumarIn Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) sensor nodes with sensing, computing and communication infrastructure are randomly deployed and organized as clusters. Most of the existing sensor networks focus on homogeneous in which the cluster heads are changed periodically. To improve the lifetime of energy constraint battery powered WSN and to avoid energy sink-hole problem; Clustered Heterogeneous Sensor Networks (HSN) are analyzed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 18 Mar 2013 · 6,840 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordIrregular Class of Multistage Interconnection Network in Parallel ProcessingSandeep Sharma, K. S. Kahlon, P. K. Bansal, Kawaljeet SinghA major problem in designing a large-scale parallel and distributed system was the construction of an Interconnection Network (IN) to provide inter-processor communication. One of the biggest issues in the development of such a system was the development of an effective architecture and algorithms that have high reliability, give good performance (even in the presence of faults), low cost, low … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,057 accessesView PDF Cite
