Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAuthentication Based and Optimized Routing Technique in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksS. Varadhaganapathy, A. M. Natarajan, S. N. SivanandamProblem statement: An Ad hoc network has been defined as a self-organizing, dynamic topology network formed by a group of wireless mobile nodes. Minimal configuration, absence of infrastructure and quick deployment, would make ad hoc networks convenient for emergency situations other than military applications. In recent years, security in Ad hoc Networks as a research topic had started to receive … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,910 accessesView PDFCite

Therefore, their performance evaluation and quality improvement is essential. One of the international models in this field is Baldrige health care model. Approach: The study aimed to evaluate Performance Evaluation a teaching Hospital Affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences Based on Baldrige Excellence Model. … …American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 7 Apr 2011 · 8,031 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMeasuring the Resiliency of the Manhattan Points of Entry in the Face of Severe DisruptionMayada Omer, Ali Mostashari, Roshanak NilchianiProblem statement: Resilient infrastructure systems are able to continue to provide the expected service levels following disruptive events. Implementing resiliency in infrastructure systems requires knowledge of the current resiliency of the system and a methodology by which different resiliency strategies can be evaluated. In the transportation infrastructure in particular, disruptions cause delays, which will in turn incur substantial economic losses … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 15 Mar 2011 · 9,682 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWeb-Enabled Framework for Real-Time Scheduler Simulator: A Teaching ToolC. Yaashuwanth, R. RameshProblem statement: A Real-Time System (RTS) is one which controls an environment by receiving data, processing it, and returning the results quickly enough to affect the functioning of the environment at that time. The main objective of this research was to develop an architectural model for the simulation of real time tasks to implement in distributed environment through web, and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2010 · 7,277 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProtection for an Immediate Split Structure of Tree-Based EPON Architecture-Ideal Condition AnalysisMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Siti Asma Che Aziz, Kasmiran JumariProblem statement: Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) was proposed to overcome the bandwidth bottleneck at the Access Networks due to its simplicity, cost effective and wide spread deployment. A failure in access networks can cause serious problems, because access network transmit aggregated high speed traffic from hundreds of subscribers. Protection and restoration mechanisms have been applied in backbone networks, but … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2009 · 8,280 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesigning for Comfort and Reliability in an Intelligent Car SeatD.A. Wahab, N.F. Adull Manan, M.A. Hannan et al.Today, intelligent safety systems are installed in modern cars in view of minimising road hazards. An intelligent air bag system for example, comprised several subsystems that are integrated to include the weight sensor system, image sensor system, crash sensor system and tyre pressure monitoring system. These systems when poorly positioned into the car seat, will certainly affect comfort and reliability … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,601 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Study of Power Control Radio Resource Management Over WLANsZ. I. Dafalla, M. B.R. MurthyWireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) based on IEEE 802.11 standard have been rapidly growing. With limitations of the WLAN standard and rapid increase in wireless application demand, the air interface acts as bottleneck even in high-speed WLAN standards such as IEEE 802.11a and 802.11g with expected data transmission rates of up to 54 Mbps. To improve the overall performance of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,261 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComparative Performance Analysis of Mobile IPv6 Protocols: Special Reference to Simultaneous BindingsShariq Haseeb, Ahmad F. IsmailMobile IP is the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) proposal to cater for All-Internet Protocol (All-IP) mobility. It forms the backbone for next generation Wireless Internet Technology to provide uninterrupted network service while on the move. Our paper conducts a performance study of the various Mobile Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) protocols such as Simple Mobile IPv6, Hierarchical Mobile IPv6, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 7,867 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDynamic Reconfiguration of IP Domain Middleware Stacks to Support Multicast Multimedia Distribution in a Heterogeneous EnvironmentKevin Curran, Gerard ParrSeamless connectivity to multiple wireless networks independently of a fixed point is becoming increasingly important for mobile devices however wireless networks differ in bandwidth, size and access costs each requiring protocol functions to enable devices to communicate efficiently. In addition, due to the divergence of users and applications, traditional stacks are frequently enriched with additional functionality such as transport protocol … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2005 · 6,786 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHybrid Fog Resource Provisioning and Resource Allocation using MKFCM and FPANagarjun E, Dharamendra Chouhan, Dilip Kumar SMThe expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) deployments has motivated the Fog Computing (FC) paradigm, which brings mobile-edge and cloud resources together under a single model. Allocating and provisioning application tasks across such environments poses challenges due to constrained resource capabilities, heterogeneity, mobility, network hierarchy, and unpredictability. This paper addresses the need for additional computing devices that prioritize delay-sensitive applications … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 10 · 6 Oct 2026 · 472 accessesView PDFCite
