In short

  • Portico preserves every article we publish.
  • It is a dark archive: content is released if we can no longer provide it.
  • DOIs keep every link to an article working.

Digital Preservation is an essential part in ensuring the longevity and unlimited access of important research. We strongly believe and work towards removing unnecessary barriers to access research and aim to secure and archive all manuscripts for continued long-term access.

In order to fulfill our quest, we have partnered with Portico to ensure that all manuscripts published in Science Publication journals are digitally preserved and archived for permanent online access.

Portico is one of the largest community-supported digital archives in the world. They are a dark archive storing e-journals, e-books, and other forms of electronic scholarly content. Dark archives work as a failsafe solution to ensure that all indexed content is permanently available.
