Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Case Study of Black-Box Testing for Embedded Software using Test Automation ToolChanghyun Baek, Joongsoon Jang, Gihyun Jung et al.This research shows a case study of the Black-Box testing for Temperature Controller (TC) which is one of the typical embedded systems. A test automation tool, TEST, was developed and some kinds of TCs were tested using the tool. We presented statistical analysis for the test results of the automated testing and defined the properties of the software bugs for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2007 · 8,591 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImproving the Exploration Strategy of an Automated Android GUI Testing Tool based on the Q-Learning Algorithm by Selecting Potential ActionsGoh Kwang Yi, Salmi Binti Baharom, Jamilah DinResearchers have proposed automated testing tools to minimise the effort and resources spent on testing GUIs. A relatively simple strategy employed by the proposed tools thus far is the observe-select-execute approach, where all of a GUI’s actions on its current state are observed, one action is selected and the selected action is executed on the software. The strategy’s key function … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 2 · 2 Mar 2022 · 6,783 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Complete Automation of Unit Testing for JavaScript ProgramsM. AlshraidehProblem statement: Program testing is expensive and labor intensive, often consuming more than half of the total development costs, and yet it is frequently not done well and the results are not always satisfactory. The objective of this paper is to present an automatic test data generation tool that aims to completely automate unit testing of JavaScript functions. The methodology: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,289 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractJTst- An Automated Unit Testing Tool for Java ProgramKamal Zuhairi Zamli, Nor Ashidi Mat IsaSoftware testing is an integral part of software development lifecycle. Lack of testing can often lead to disastrous consequences including lost of data, fortunes, and even lives. Despite its importance, current software testing practice lacks automation, and is still primarily based on highly manual processes from the generation of test cases up to the actual execution of the test. Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordThe Conceptual Design of Module Documentation Based Testing ToolSalmi Baharom, Zarina ShukurSoftware testing plays an important role to assure the quality of software and can be highly effective if performed rigorously. Studies found that testing can benefit from formal specification as it provides precise description of expected software behavior and most importantly, it is in a form that it can be manipulated easily for automation purpose. Grey-box testing approach usually based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 6,532 accessesView PDF Cite
