Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordGeobody Architecture and Petroleum Potential of the Yowi Field, Offshore Eastern Niger Delta, NigeriaPrince Suka Momta, Minapuye Isaac OdigiA study on geobody architecture and petroleum potential of the Yowi Field has been carried out by integrating well logs and 3D seismic data. The objectives of this study include: The determination of the lateral continuity of key horizons; identification of gross geobody distribution and architecture; and the petroleum potential of the field. Well log correlation shows that key horizons … …Current Research in Geoscience, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 16 Dec 2015 · 7,675 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordReconstruction of the Depositional Setting of Tortonian Sediments in the Yowi Field, Shallow Offshore Niger Delta, Using Wireline LogsPrince Suka Momta, Minapuye Isaac OdigiWell logs and ditch-cuttings information was used to study the subsurface of the Yowi oilfields, shallow offshore, in the eastern Niger Delta sedimentary basin. The essence of the study was to determine the gross depositional environments of selected and-bodies. Electrofacies trends from gamma ray log and mineral composition of ditch-cutting samples were used to reconstruct the depositional environments in the … …Current Research in Geoscience, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 8 Feb 2016 · 7,928 accessesView PDF Cite
