Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPerformance Analysis on 16-Channels Wavelength Division Multiplexing in Free Space Optical Transmission under Tropical Regions EnvironmentSalasiah Hitam, Siti Norziela Suhaimi, Ahmad Shukri Mohd Noor et al.Problem statement: Wavelength-Division-Multiplexing (WDM) is a promising technique for meeting the growing demand for increased bandwidth and various types of services in the optical access network. For wide area or metropolitan networks, fibers are deployed to provide huge bandwidth. In access networks, the fiber-to-the-home will partially solve the last mile problem. However, some environmentally sensitive area such as housing areas, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 2 Nov 2011 · 10,358 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPreliminary Analysis of Malware Detection in Opcode Sequences within IoT EnvironmentFiras Shihab Ahmed, Norwati Mustapha, Aida Mustapha et al.With the technological development and means of communication, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become an essential role in providing many services in daily life through millions of heterogeneous but interconnected devices and nodes. This development is opening to many security and privacy challenges that can cause complete network breakdown, bypassed access control or the loss of critical data. This … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 9 · 5 Oct 2020 · 7,356 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhancing IoT RPL Protocol Security Against Black Hole Attacks with Deep Learning TechniquesKrari Ayoub, Hajami Abdelmajid, Toubi Ayoub, Mihi SoukainaAs the Internet of Things (IoT) extends its reach into critical infrastructures, it encounters escalating security threats, particularly black hole attacks that jeopardize network communication. The growing use of IoT in essential services underscores the need for robust network integrity. Driven by this urgency, our research has developed a sophisticated detection framework that effectively identifies black hole attacks within IoT … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 11 · 18 Oct 2024 · 5,000 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Effect of Packet Redundancy Elimination Technique in Sensor NetworksDeepa Priya, Sharmini EnochA lot of sensor nodes which are able to sense, process and communicate with external base station with the data obtained from external environment belong to a class of adhoc networks called wireless sensor networks. The main challenge in sensor network is to increase the life time of the network thereby reducing duplicate by detecting the redundant information. While the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 6 · 25 Feb 2018 · 7,878 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractVideo Streaming in Peer-to-Peer Networks Using Network Coding Renders Efficient Video Cassette Recorder OperationsR. Arockia Xavier Annie, K. V. Pradeepthi, P. YogeshProblem statement: Major technological development in recent years has led to the usage of shared streaming solutions by Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Video-on-Demand (VoD) systems in the Internet. Video streaming in P2P network systems has ample amount of loss of video packets due to network disabilities such as congestion, intrusion, connectivity problems, excessive network collisions etc. Adding onto the video streaming problems, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 24 Aug 2012 · 6,736 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractInverse Discrete Fourier Transform-Discrete Fourier Transform Techniques for Generating and Receiving Spectrally Efficient Frequency Division Multiplexing SignalsSahmed IdarwazehProblem statement: Spectrally Efficient Frequency Division Multiplexing (SEFDM) system promises bandwidth savings by multiplexing overlapped non-orthogonal sub-carriers. However, the loss of orthogonality results in increasing the complexity of generation and detection of the signal. In this work, we propose simple framework for the generation of the SEFDM signal based on the Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT). Approach: This study further … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 31 Jul 2012 · 8,310 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient Broadcasting in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using Context Aware Adaptive Routing Protocol during Network PartitionsS. V.M.G. Bavithiraja, R. RadhakrishnanProblem statement: In mobile ado network, broadcasting is a common operation for route establishment and for sending control and emergency messages. Reliable Broadcasting in mobile ad hoc networks requires delivery of messages from different sources to all the nodes of the network within bounded time. The nodes are highly mobile and the network is highly dynamic and decentralized. Most of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 28 Feb 2012 · 6,461 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLow-Loss Hand-Made Demultiplexer using Transparent Color Filter in WDM-POF Network for Short-Haul Communication SystemMohd Syuhaimi Ab. Rahman, L. S. Supian, Hadi Guna et al.Problem statement: Polymer optical fiber has advantages compared to other alternatives communication media such as copper, coax cable and glass fiber. POF has bigger bandwidth compared to wireless communication network and POF is also free from electromagnetic disruption. Since POF is suitable for communication system up to distance of 100 m with data speed of 400 Mbps using polymer step-index … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 30 Jan 2012 · 7,087 accessesView PDF Cite
