Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDevelopment of a "Programmable Logic Controller Circuitry" For Optimal Power Distribution in a Manufacturing IndustriesK. SelvarajProblem statement: In industries the powder demand/consumption is fixed by the power supply agency. However, at times, the demand/Consumption may exceed the fixed level and will result in, the industry paying heavy penalties to the supply agency. In most of the large and medium scale industries, controlling of power consumption is done by monitoring the powder demand indicator unit activated … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,276 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImproved Fuzzy Logic Controller Implemented on FPGA Circuit for Photovoltaic SystemsAouatif Ibnelouad, Abdeljalil Elkari, Hassan Ayad, Mostafa MjahedTo be the photovoltaic arrays capable to transport the maximum power obtainable, it must be combined with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). To succeed, we will improve a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method, based on intelligent technique such as Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC), compared with a conventional method which is P&O. This improved method applied to a stand-alone photovoltaic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 5 · 5 Jun 2020 · 7,520 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPetri Nets and Ladder Logic for Fully-Automating and Programmable Logic Control of Semi-Automatic Machines and SystemsMahmoud A. Barghash, Osama M. Abuzeid, Anas N. Al-Rabadi, Ahmad M. JaradatProblem statement: Automating semi-automatic dynamic machines and complex systems, where some functionalities are already automated but the machine doesn’t run fully in automatic mode, represents another challenge to automating dynamic and manual complex systems. This study deals with a special case of this general problem, where the system’s semi-automatic and automatic functionalities run separately in a sequence with either automatic … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 13 Jul 2011 · 8,239 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSubway Train Braking System: A Fuzzy Based Hardware ApproachMamun Bin Ibne Reaz, Jubayer Jalil, Hafizah Husain, Badariah BaisProblem statement: Automated subway train-braking system require perfection, efficiency and fast response. In order to cope with this concerns, an appropriate algorithm need to be developed which need to be implemented in hardware for faster response. Approach: In this research, the FPGA realization of fuzzy based subway train braking system has been presented on an Alter FLEX10K device to provide … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 24 Jun 2011 · 7,175 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAutomating a Festo Manufacturing Machine with an Allen-Bradley PLCPraneel Chand, Joven SepulvedaIndustry equipment such as machinery utilising Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) become outdated and obsolete over time. Support for older machines and controllers becomes limited and they become incompatible with new computer operating systems. In the end, they are no longer used by industry. However, obsolete machines can be refurbished and used for teaching or demonstration purposes. Hence, this study presents … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 26 Nov 2021 · 7,047 accessesView PDFCite
