Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImprovement of Image Matching by using the Proximity Criterion: Application to Omnidirectional and Perspective ImagesIbrahim Guelzim, Ahmed Hammouch, Driss AboutajdineProblem statement: In computer vision, matching is an important phase for several applications (object reconstruction, robot navigation ...). The similarity measures used provided results which could be improved. Approach: This research proposed to improve image matching by using the proximity criterion. The similarity measures used mutual information and correlation coefficient. The matching was done between neighborhoods of points of interest … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 6,672 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOmni-Zernike Algorithm for Template Matching in Catadioptric SystemAnisse Khald, Amina Radgui, Mohammed RzizaImage descriptor have been widely applied in many computer visions and image understanding applications including pattern recognition, robotic, video surveillance, camera calibration and image retrieval, etc. Invariants features are robust when apply several transformations of photometry (illumination, blur, noise, JPEG compression) and transformations of geometry (scaling, rotation, translation and viewpoint change). In this study, we present representation and matching region … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 12 · 30 Dec 2020 · 6,501 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSpherical Object Tracking using Von Mises-Fisher Distribution in Catadioptric SystemKhald Anisse, Radgui Amina, Rziza MohamedTracking objects on video sequences is a very challenging task in computer vision applications. However, there is few articles that deal with this topic in catadioptric vision. This paper describes a new approach of omnidirectional images (gray level) processing based on inverse stereographic projection in the image plane. Our work is based on minimizing the distance between two models. The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 9 · 20 Sep 2020 · 6,742 accessesView PDF Cite
