Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTopology Control Using Efficient Power ManagementS. Karunakaran, P. ThangarajProblem statement: Effective Topology control will improve the performance and the capacity of Mobile Ad-hoc networks by building reliable network structure. Approach: Power level is used as the basis for topology control since it reduces spatial interference while increasing the effective channel capacity and network lifetime. Results: In this study, we design a topology control using efficient power management algorithm … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 6,715 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOptimized Wireless Sensor Network Clustering Using a Hybrid Firefly–Bat Algorithm (HFBA)J. Jegan, Senthil kumar P, S. Saravanakumar et al.Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are composed of numerous sensor nodes that collaborate to observe and evaluate various environmental parameters, transmitting the data to a central base station. Each node is equipped with a unique transmitter, receiver, and processor to facilitate sensing, processing, and communication. These networks are often installed in extremely remote and inaccessible areas. A significant challenge arises from … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 5 · 19 May 2026 · 1,431 accessesView PDFCite

With the increase in the urbanpopulation and service delivery difficulties, smart cities are integratingtechnologies such as smart waste bins and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)tags into their day-to-day operations to make solid waste management andcontrol more effective. Fog computing in waste management is becoming … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 11 · 16 Nov 2022 · 6,661 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Effect of Packet Redundancy Elimination Technique in Sensor NetworksDeepa Priya, Sharmini EnochA lot of sensor nodes which are able to sense, process and communicate with external base station with the data obtained from external environment belong to a class of adhoc networks called wireless sensor networks. The main challenge in sensor network is to increase the life time of the network thereby reducing duplicate by detecting the redundant information. While the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 6 · 25 Feb 2018 · 7,878 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecure and Efficient Transmission in Mobile Ad hoc Network to Identify the Fake ID's Using Fake ID Detection ProtocolS. Gopalakrishnan, P. GaneshkumarMobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a frequent infrastructure less self- coordinating network, in which each and every mobile node works as a source, destination and a wireless relay. Such pattern of wireless network is produced by dynamic mobile nodes without any centralized or fixed or existing network infrastructure. In MANET, however, there is no static network infrastructure and mobile … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 29 Jan 2015 · 6,357 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSIGNED GRAPH APPROACH IN ADAPTIVE TRANSMISSION POWER TO ENHANCE THE LIFETIME OF WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKSA. Babu Karuppiah, S. RajaramA Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) comprises a collection of sensor nodes networked for applications like surveillance, battlefield, monitoring of habitat. Nodes in a WSN are usually highly energy-constrained and expected to operate for long periods from limited on-board energy reserves. When a node transmits data to a destination node the data is overheard by the nodes that are in the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 8 · 13 May 2014 · 6,729 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA BROADCAST BASED ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR INTER-CLUSTER DATA DISSEMINATION IN VEHICULAR COMMUNICATIONAuxeeliya Jesudoss, S. V. Kasmir Raja, Ashraph SulaimanVehicular communication is one of the fast growing and promising technologies for a safe and comfortable driving environment. These technologies do not end up with economic and safety ramifications, but also extended with other informational and entertainment oriented services. Data are being propagated multi-hop between source and destination vehicles for many real-life applications. Clustering is one of the effective and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 30 Dec 2013 · 7,522 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractQuality of Service Aware Reverse Pathad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector ProtocolK. G. Santhiya, N. ArumugamMobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is aninfra structureless network that does not require any built-in infra structure and central control. Due to very fast mobility of nodes, there will be drastic changes in the network topology. So an adaptive routing protocol is needed for effective and reliable routing in MANET. Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is the efficient and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 20 Sep 2012 · 7,061 accessesView PDFCite
