Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImproving Response Time of Authorization Process of Credit Card System Using Multi-Threading and Shared-Memory Pool TechniquesSiti H.A. Hamid, Mohd H.N.M. Nasir, Wong Y. Ming, Hazrina HassanCurrent credit card authorization was developed on single-threaded model whereby authentication process takes longer time to respond due to sequential process of card's risk management profile and its limitation of handling huge number of simultaneous transactions at single point of time. As a result, the performance of the authorization system was affected during peak hours. This study presented an architectural … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2008 · 7,236 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsParallel Performance Monitoring Service for Dynamically Composed Media Web ServicesG. Maria Kalavathy, P. SeethalakshmiProblem statement: As distributed real-time multimedia services are accessed by users from different locations, the run-time performance must be managed and monitored to get a clear view of how media web services perform within their operational environments and to perform control actions to modify and adjust the their behavior. Otherwise it will provide negative effects on the reputation of service … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,188 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProviding Reliability in Replicated Middleware ApplicationsR. Saravanan, N. RamarajProblem statement: Data inconsistency is raised in actively replicated environment due to non-determinism in the applications that defeats the purpose of replication as a fault-tolerance strategy. Approach: We proposed an efficient framework RTC which ensured determinism among the replicas in fault tolerance middleware applications. This method exploits the technique of statically analyzing the application source code of client and identifies … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2009 · 8,696 accessesView PDF Cite
