Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA New Incremental Updating Algorithm for Mining Sequential PatternsJia-Dong Ren, Xiao-Lei ZhouThis study discusses how to maintain discovered sequential patterns when some information is deleted from a sequence database. A new algorithm, called MA_D (Maintenance Algorithm when Deleting some information), is presented in order to deal with the maintenance of sequential patterns mining resulted from the updating of database and the algorithm makes full use of the information obtained from previous … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2006 · 6,613 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstract2D Kinematic Quantification of Soil Particles around Growing Plant Root based on Optical MechanicsWenbin Wu, Jian ZhaoThe quantitative kinematic description of the surrounding soil particles during root growth is a technical challenge and biologically important. In this study, a two-dimensional camera-based imaging system was used to observe micro scale interactions between plant roots and soil particles. Maize root tip was imaged during ingress into the soils. This produced a series of two-dimensional images that represent temporal … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 21 Oct 2020 · 6,411 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Soft Sensor Modelling of Biomass Concentration during Fermentation using Accurate Incremental Online v-Support Vector Regression Learning AlgorithmBinjie Gu, Feng PanIn order to model real fermentation process, a soft sensor modelling of biomass concentration during fermentation using accurate incremental online ν-Support Vector Regression (ν-SVR) learning algorithm was proposed. Firstly, an accurate incremental online ν-SVR learning algorithm was proposed. This algorithm solved the two complications introduced in the dual problem based on the equivalent formulation of ν-SVR. Moreover, it addressed the … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 8 Aug 2015 · 7,327 accessesView PDF Cite
