Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDYNAMIC MODELING AND GAIN SCHEDULING CONTROL OF A CHIILLED WATER COOLING SYSTEMJun Liu, M. ZaheeruddinA dynamic model of a Chilled Water (ChW) cooling system with a stratified ChW tank was developed. A PI-based Gain Scheduling (GS) control strategy was designed to improve thermal performance of the chiller system. Five different operation strategies were simulated and the energy consumption and cost of operating the system under full load and partial load conditions were compared. The … …Energy Research Journal, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 15 Oct 2014 · 7,010 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTrajectory Tracking Control of UR5 Robot Manipulator Using Fuzzy Gain Scheduling Terminal Sliding Mode ControllerAndualem Welabo, Gebremichael TesfamariamrIn dealing with the trajectory tracking control of robotic manipulator many scholars have had to work in a sliding mode controller. However, SMC has two major limitations one is chattering the other is asymptotical convergence. The chattering problem occurs in traditional SMC due to the switching function of the discontinuous controller and the constant gain parameter of K. Though in … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 24 Jul 2020 · 11,717 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTakagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Gains Scheduled PI Controller for Enhancement of Power System StabilityLokman H. Hassan, M. Moghavvemi, Haider A.F. MohamedProblem statement: Power system oscillations affect system stability and may lead to failure if not properly controlled. Approach: A Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Gains Scheduled Proportional and Integral (FGPI) controller was proposed for a Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC)-based stabilizer to enhance the power system stability. Linguistic rules and fuzzy inference mechanism are utilized to tune the controller parameters on-line in different … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,541 accessesView PDF Cite
