Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSolving the Near-Far Problem in Dynamic Frequency Hopping-Optical Code Division Multiple Access using Power ControlW. J.M. Al-galbi, M. Mokhtar, A. F. Abas et al.Problem statement: In this study, a distributed power control algorithm is proposed for Dynamic Frequency Hopping Optical-CDMA (DFH-OCDMA) system. Approach: In general, the DFH-OCDMA can support higher number of simultaneous users compared to other OCDMA techniques. However, the performance of such system degrades significantly as the received power does lower than its minimum threshold. Results: This may obviously occur in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2009 · 7,521 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleReed Solomon Coding for Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum in Jamming EnvironmentOthman Sidek, Abid YahyaFrequency hopping spread spectrum with noncoherent M-ary frequency shift keying system is considered. In this study Reed Solomon codes RS (255, 223) are employed in a standard error correction role to provide some Anti-Jamming (AJ) capability with 8-bit symbols. Noise has been added to RS encoded data, which is demodulated at RS decoder perfectly. Matlab simulations have been implemented for … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2008 · 7,399 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDirect Sequence and Frequency Hopping Signals Classification Based on Co-Occurrence Matrix and Clustering TechniquesHaidy S. Fouad, Hend A. Elsayed, Shawkat K. GirgisSpread Spectrum techniques (SS) were first developed for military applications, but currently, they have commercial applications. SS provides secure communication and allows multiple accesses for same radio spectrum. So, most Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems use it, as do Cognitive Radios (CR), space systems and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) and frequency hopped spread spectrum … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 10 Jan 2019 · 8,203 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsComparison between Vertex Merge Algorithm and Dsatur AlgorithmHandrizal, A. Noraziah, Ahmed N. AbdallaProblem statement: In this study, the channel allocation problem in direct sequence spread spectrum was investigated. First, Coloring in channel allocation has been discussed in detail. Second; a new graph model is proposed that namely Vertex Merge Algorithm (VMA). Approach: VMA try to solve channel allocation based on graph theory. Results: The problem is to assign channel to Access Point … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,254 accessesView PDF Cite
