Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAdvanced Information Technology of Slot-Switching Network Schemes for on All-Optical Variable-Length PacketSoung Yue Liew, Edward Sek Khin Wong, Choong Kwai FattProblem Statement: The purpose of this paper was to investigate all optical packet switching, because it was the key to the success of the future Internet. It can meet the stringent bandwidth requirement of future Internet applications, such as real-time video streaming. Due to the lack of optical Random Access Memory (RAM), however, the all-optical schemes studied in the literature … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,186 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNEW BURST ASSEMBLY AND SCHEDULING TECHNIQUE FOR OPTICAL BURST SWITCHING NETWORKSV. Kavitha, V. PalanisamyThe Optical Burst Switching is a new switching technology that efficiently utilizes the bandwidth in the optical layer. The key areas to be concentrated in Optical Burst Switching (OBS) networks are the burst assembly and burst scheduling i.e., assignment of wavelengths to the incoming bursts. This study presents a New Burst Assembly and Scheduling (NBAS) technique in a simultaneous multipath … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 6 Jul 2013 · 6,944 accessesView PDF Cite
