Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSpeaker Recognition Using Spectral Cross-correlation: A Fast AlgorithmZoubir HamiciThis study presents an original algorithm for computing the cross-correlation function applied for speech recognition A spectral correlation estimation algorithm based on the comparing the magnitude spectrum of the two signals is presented. The number of samples is reduced by a factor of two, after eliminating the image spectrum. A moving average filter is used to smooth the magnitude spectrum … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 19 Oct 2005 · 5,013 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleIntegrating (OLAP) Online Analytical Processing With a Fast Algorithm for Epileptic Seizures DetectionIlyas Zidane, Wajih Rhalem, Nordine ZidaneEpilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, significantly impacting the quality of life of patients. Effective detection and analysis of epileptic seizures are crucial for timely intervention and management. This paper presents the integration of a fast algorithm for epileptic seizures detection with an OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) system using a star schema data warehouse model. By leveraging … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 10 · 12 Oct 2026 · 678 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFast Algorithms for Discovering Sequential Patterns in Massive DatasetsS. Dharani, Justus Rabi, Nanda Kumar, DarlyProblem statement: Sequential pattern mining is one of the specific data mining tasks, particularly from retail data. The task is to discover all sequential patterns with a user-specified minimum support, where support of a pattern is the number of data-sequences that contain the pattern. Approach: To find a sequence patterns variety of algorithm like AprioriAll and Generalized Sequential Patterns (GSP) … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 9 · 23 Jul 2011 · 7,280 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFast Algorithms for Outlier DetectionFawaz A.M. Masoud, Moh'd B. Al- Zoubi, Imad Salah, Ali Al-DahoudFinding fast algorithms to detect outliers (as unusual objects) by their distance to neighboring objects is a big desire. Two algorithms were proposed to detect outliers quickly. The first was based on the Partial Distance (PD) algorithm and the second was an improved version of the PD algorithm. It was found that the proposed algorithms reduced the number of distance … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2008 · 7,041 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFFA-CONTEXT AWARE ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING USING FAST REACTIVE AND ADAPTIVE ALGORITHMP. Kavitha Rani, E. KannanA vital issue of routing is how to efficiently strengthen energy consumption of the whole network and to avoid the energy-hole which leads to node failure or node death; this scenario makes the network to work improperly and leads to network death, Here we proves our hypothesis with linearity between routing and linear principles. Our proposed work effectively utilizes the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 26 Dec 2013 · 6,617 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHardware Implementation of a Genetic Algorithm Based Canonical Singed Digit Multiplierless Fast Fourier Transform Processor for Multiband Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Ultra Wideband ApplicationsMahmud Benhamid, Masuri B. OthmanProblem statement: Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology has attracted many researchers' attention due to its advantages and its great potential for future applications. The physical layer standard of Multi-band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MB-OFDM) UWB system is defined by ECMA International. In this standard, the data sampling rate from the analog-to-digital converter to the physical layer is up to 528 … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 5, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2009 · 7,515 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImprovement of the Simplified Fast Transversal Filter Type Algorithm for Adaptive FilteringMadjid Arezki, Ahmed Benallal, Daoud BerkaniProblem statement: In this study, we proposed a new algorithm M-SMFTF for adaptive filtering with fast convergence and low complexity. Approach: It was the result of a simplified FTF type algorithm, where the adaptation gain was obtained only from the forward prediction variables and using a new recursive method to compute the likelihood variable. Results: The computational complexity was reduced … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 5 · 31 May 2009 · 7,700 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Fast Pattern Matching Algorithm with Two Sliding Windows (TSW)Amjad Hudaib, Rola Al-Khalid, Dima Suleiman et al.In this research, we propose a fast pattern matching algorithm: The Two Sliding Windows (TSW) algorithm. The algorithm makes use of two sliding windows, each window has a size that is equal to the pattern length. Both windows slide in parallel over the text until the first occurrence of the pattern is found or until both windows reach the middle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2008 · 7,499 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSimplified Block Matching Algorithm for Fast Motion Estimation in Video CompressionM. Ezhilarasan, P. ThambiduraiBlock matching motion estimation was one of the most important modules in the design of any video encoder. It consumed more than 85% of video encoding time due to searching of a candidate block in the search window of the reference frame. To minimize the search time on block matching, a simplified and efficient Block Matching Algorithm for Fast Motion … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2008 · 7,041 accessesView PDFCite
