Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMetaheuristic Algorithms for Independent Task Scheduling in Symmetric and Asymmetric Cloud Computing EnvironmentNagwan M. Abdel Samee, Sara Sayed Ahmed, Rania Ahmed Abdel Azeem Abul SeoudCloud Computing (CC) is a recent technology in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field. It provides an on-demand access to the shared pool of resources via virtualization. Large enterprises move toward CC due to its flexibility and scalability driven from its elastic pay-per-use model. To provide ensured efficient performance to users, tasks should be efficiently mapped to available resources. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 4 · 3 May 2019 · 7,649 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Analysis of Resource Selection Algorithms in Grid Computing EnvironmentMalarvizhi Nandagopal, Rhymend UthariarajProblem statement: Meta- scheduling has become important due to increased number of jobs and resources in the area of grid computing to achieve the objectives of grid users and grid resources. Approach: A variety of factors need to be considered for effective scheduling of resources in such environments such as total time job spend in the grid system, global and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 6,899 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleComparative Study of Scheduling Al-gorithms in Cloud Computing EnvironmentIsam Azawi MohialdeenAn essential requirement in cloud computing environment is scheduling the current jobs to be executed with the given constraints. The scheduler should order the jobs in a way where balance between improving the quality of services and at the same time maintaining the efficiency and fairness among the jobs. Thus, evaluating the performance of scheduling algorithms is crucial towards realizing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 11 Apr 2013 · 7,206 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleLow Complexity Performance Effective Task Scheduling Algorithm for Heterogeneous Computing EnvironmentsE. Ilavarasan, P. ThambiduraiA heterogeneous computing environment is a suite of heterogeneous processors interconnected by high-speed networks, thereby promising high speed processing of computationally intensive applications with diverse computing needs. Scheduling of an application modeled by Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) is a key issue when aiming at high performance in this kind of environment. The problem is generally addressed in terms of task … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2007 · 9,663 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEfficient Resource Allocation and Task Scheduling in a Cloud Computing Environment using Swarm IntelligencePanuganti Hanumantha Rao, Rajakumar Subramanian, Geetha SomanThe new age of network-based computing, known as "cloud computing," is characterized by the distribution and sharing of resources over a network. These resources are available to anyone through the Internet on a pay-per-use basis. Any service that anybody uses can generate massive amounts of data. Therefore, in this scenario, there will be a significant cost associated with transferring data … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 12 · 7 Nov 2024 · 4,716 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA REVIEW ON SECURED CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTM. Hemanth Chakravarthy, E. KannanNowadays, the scientific problem becomes very complex; therefore, it requires more computing power and storage space. These requirements are very common in an organization while dealing with current technological data and requirements. Based on these basic requirements, need of higher computational resources is an important issue when dealing with current technological methodology. Hence, cloud computing has become the most important … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 8 · 6 May 2014 · 6,578 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA USER PROTECTION MODEL FOR THE TRUSTED COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTMarwan Ibrahim Alshar’e, Rossilawati Sulaiman, Mohd Rosmadi Mukhtar, Abdullah Mohd ZinInformation security presents a huge challenge for both individuals and organizations. The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) has introduced the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) as a solution to end-users to ensure their privacy and confidentiality. TPM has the role of being the root of trust for systems and users by providing protected storage that is accessible only within TPM and thus, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 15 Apr 2014 · 7,324 accessesView PDFCite
