Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleCluster Computing: A Mobile Code ApproachR. B. Patel, Manpreet SinghCluster computing harnesses the combined computing power of multiple processors in a parallel configuration. Cluster Computing environments built from commodity hardware have provided a cost-effective solution for many scientific and high-performance applications. In this paper we have presented design and implementation of a cluster based framework using mobile code. The cluster implementation involves the designing of a server named MCLUSTER … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2006 · 6,714 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPerformance Evaluation of Apache Spark Vs MPI: A Practical Case Study on Twitter Sentiment AnalysisDeepa S Kumar, M Abdul RahmanThe advent of various processing frameworks which happens under big data technologies is due to tremendous dataset size and its complexity. The speed of execution was much higher with High Performance computing frameworks rather than big data processing frameworks. As majority of the jobs under big data are mostly data intensive rather than computation intensive, the High Performance Computing paradigms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 23 Dec 2017 · 8,070 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsExploring Strategies for Parallel Computing of RS Data Assimilation with SWAP-GAShamim Akhter, Kiyoshi Honda, Yann Chemin, Putchong UthayopasAn agro-hydrological simulation model is useful for agriculture monitoring. One issue in running such model is parameter identification, especially when the target area is large such as provincial or country level. Remote Sensing (RS) provides us with useful information over large area. RS cannot observe input parameters of agro-hydrological models directly. However, a method to estimate input parameters of such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2007 · 7,209 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImplementation of Load Balancing Algorithm in a Grid ComputingAbdallah Boukerram, Samira Ait Kaci AzzouThe emergence of the grid computing constituted by several resources stood out as platform of development for the industrial applications treating big quantities of data. In these environments of high- throughput computing, numerous researches were dedicated these last five years to the load balancing to make profitable the power of calculations in the grid. This paper describes the complete implementation … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2006 · 7,411 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsModel for Automated and Improved Utilization of Existing Computer Resources on an Example of Web ServersDino Alagić, Ivan MagdalenićInformation technology is under constant innovation pressure to provide the highest level of data availability – i.e., the continuous functioning of operating systems. This is the very reason for an accelerated development of complex systems encompassed by the term cloud computing. Among other things, such solutions are aimed to ensure high-level availability of complex systems and architecture. Numerous studies indicate … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 2 Mar 2018 · 8,270 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEffective Load Metric and Efficient Initial Job Placement for Dynamic Load Balancing in ClusterP. Sammulal, M. V. Gopalachari, A. V. BabuHigh performance clusters are being configured specially to give data centers that require extreme performance and the processing power they need. When the data is accessed across clusters the data latency time has significant impact on the performance. In the literature it is given that memory and I/O have become the new bottleneck, instead of processing power in achieving efficient … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2008 · 6,904 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAdapting the LMF Temporal Splining Procedure From Serial to MPI/Linux ClustersSajia Akhter, Ipshita Sarkar, Kazi G. Rabbany et al.Remote Sensing (RS) provides images over large areas such as provincial or country level. During the last 20 years, it plays a vital role for developing many complex applications. However, RS image includes data noises due to influence of haze or cloud especially in the rainy season. It is thus necessary to remove the noise to recover the real ground … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2007 · 7,461 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFramework for Containers Orchestration to handle the Scientific Workloads using KubernetesManish Kumar Abhishek, D. Rajeswara Rao, K. SubrahmanyamThelightweight nature of Operating System virtualization give birth to thecontainers, and their high efficiency for application deployment prefers itsusage in Cloud computing. Containers encapsulate and bundle the requireddependencies for application development and deployment in libs packages as asingle entity. The nature of containers eases application migration within theHigh-Performance Computing environment to handle the scientific workloadssmoothly. Singularity containers are aimed to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 9 · 19 Sep 2022 · 9,351 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractInter Cluster Group Management in Wireless Sensor NetworksR. Rohini, Adamu Murtala Zungeru, S. Ravi, Dasari Narasimha RaoWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), an emerging large-scale network system can be embedded for any application. The designers of wireless sensor network have to consider the quality of service agreements from a user perspective. The WSN is very rapid in dynamic changing topology and has less energy, computing and communication resources. The network design has to fulfill the QoS parameters like … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 4 · 19 Apr 2018 · 7,988 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEmpirical Investigation of TCP Incast Congestion in Wireless Cloud Computing NetworksHamid Sadeq Mahdi Alsultani, Qusay Kanaan, Inteasar Yaseen KhudhairThe promising services offered by cloud computing environments have led to huge amount of data that need to be processed and stored. Wireless cloud networks rely on Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) for reliable transfer of data traffic between the cloud end-users and servers and vise-versa. Even though TCP has been successful for several applications, it, however, does not perform … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 5 · 3 Mar 2018 · 7,520 accessesView PDFCite
