Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDistributed Cluster Based Routing Technique with Multiple Sinks for Wireless Sensor NetworksS. V. Manisekaran, R. VenkatesanProblem Statement: In order to reduce or minimize energy consumption and to improve bandwidth utilization in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), it was essential to consider its architecture in the network topology, power consumption, data rate and fault tolerance. Our objective is to formulate an effective cluster formation of nodes with multiple sinks to reduce power consumption and minimize the data … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 28 Jun 2012 · 6,865 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Improved Location aided Cluster Based Routing Protocol with Intrusion Detection System in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksS. Mangai, A. TamilarasiProblem statement: Routing and security are the main challenges for ad hoc networks due to dynamic topology as well as resource constraints. A designed protocol must provide scalable routing with better security. Lack of any central coordination and shared wireless medium makes them more vulnerable to attacks than wired networks. And also resource constraints such as limited energy and size … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 7,103 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFuzzy Cost Enabled Cluster Based Multipath Routing Algorithm for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksM. Gomathi, G. RajendranProblem statement: This article proposes the selection of best paths in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) based on multipath routing with fuzzy cost in respect of the Fuzzy Cost Enabled Cluster based Routing (FCECR). Approach: By implementing FCECR, we have made changes to reduce the cost and route discovery overhead for the selection of best path from multipath routing from … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 9 Aug 2012 · 7,030 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA BROADCAST BASED ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR INTER-CLUSTER DATA DISSEMINATION IN VEHICULAR COMMUNICATIONAuxeeliya Jesudoss, S. V. Kasmir Raja, Ashraph SulaimanVehicular communication is one of the fast growing and promising technologies for a safe and comfortable driving environment. These technologies do not end up with economic and safety ramifications, but also extended with other informational and entertainment oriented services. Data are being propagated multi-hop between source and destination vehicles for many real-life applications. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSleeping Cluster based Medium Access Control Layer Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor NetworksT. Nagamalar, T. R. RangaswamyWireless sensor networks play a vital role in remote area applications, where human intervention is not possible. In a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) each and every node is strictly an energy as well as bandwidth constrained one. Problem Statement: In a standard WSN, most of the routing techniques, move data from multiple sources to a single fixed base station. Because … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 16 Jul 2012 · 6,686 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDynamic Weighting Technique Based Arctic Puffin Optimization for Energy Efficient Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor NetworksM. Bharathraj Kumar, S. Avinash, Prakash G. Gani, Prathapchandra ShettyWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are designed using various sensor nodes, which are employed for communication in diverse applications that include healthcare, industrial areas, and smart cities. Specifically, WSNs demand energy-efficient clustering and routing mechanisms that assist in extending network lifetime due to the limited battery capacity of sensor nodes. However, many existing meta-heuristic-based approaches incorporate fixed objective weights that struggle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 10 Sep 2026 · 767 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhanced Lifetime Maximization Using Metaheuristics-Based Unequal Clustering With Routing Protocol on Wireless Sensor NetworksN. E. Kanaghadhara, R. SubanThe Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors that monitor environmental or physical factors such as sound, pressure, or temperature, and pass the information directly through the network to a sink or central location. Clustering and routing are essential in WSNs to optimize their longevity, scalability, and efficiency. Clustering includes grouping Sensor Nodes (SN) into clusters, each … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 7 · 21 Jul 2026 · 682 accessesView PDFCite
