Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsComposite Pseudo Associative Cache with Victim Cache for Mobile ProcessorsLakshmi Deepika Bobbala, Monobrata Debnath, Byeong Kil LeeProblem statement: Multi-core trends are becoming dominant, creating sophisticated and complicated cache structures. One of the easiest ways to design cache memory for increasing performance is to double the cache size. The big cache size is directly related to the area and power consumption. Especially in mobile processors, simple increase of the cache size may significantly affect its chip area … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 4 Aug 2011 · 7,089 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsComputer Simulator: An Educational Tool for Computer ArchitectureMihyar HessonThe great advancement in computer architecture and cache memory design and technology had a considerable influence on the way computer architecture was taught in universities. This requires students to be able to visualize the detailed activities that take place within a computer processor and its interaction with memory system. Computer simulators could effectively be used to enhance the understanding and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2006 · 7,468 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHIT RATE MAXIMIZATION BY LOGICAL CACHE PARTITIONING IN A MULTI-CORE ENVIRONMENTS. Muthukumar, P. K. JawaharIt is imperative for any level of cache memory in a multi-core architecture to have a well defined, dynamic replacement algorithm in place to ensure consistent superlative performance. The most prevalently used LRU replacement policy does not acquaint itself dynamically to the changes in the workload. As a result, it can lead to sub-optimal performance for certain applications whose workloads … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 29 Nov 2013 · 6,283 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstract3D Mesh Streaming based on Predictive ModelingV. Vani, R. Pradeep Kumar, S. MohanThe complexity in 3D virtual environment over the web is growing rapidly every day. This 3D virtual environment comprises a set of structured scenes and each scene has multiple 3D objects/meshes. Therefore the granular level of the block in a virtual environment is the object. In a virtual environment, it is required to give user interactions for every 3D object … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 7 Jun 2012 · 7,410 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Design and Implementation of a Novel Skew Scenario Model in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksN. Vetrivelan, A. V. ReddyProblem statement: In this research, it had been presented a novel Skew Scenario Model that has been developed and implemented for mobile ad hoc networks. There exist several mobility patterns that try to capture the behavior of the mobile devices under different circumstances, whereas in our work, the direction movement of the nodes is significantly specified horizontally, vertically and diagonally … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 6,922 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdaptive Reliable Efficient Multicasting Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksK. Baskaran, A. Ebenezer Jeyakumar, V. Sumathy, J. Lakshmana PerumalThe Adaptive Reliable Multicast Protocol (ARM) with intermediate node support is introduced to guarantee message delivery to all multicast receivers in mobile ad hoc environment. ARM distributes multicast message cache and retransmission tasks among intermediate nodes to offer a scalable reliable multicasting. Due to limited memory and node’s mobility, ARM defines intermediate node as all nodes which overhear multicast messages. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,818 accessesView PDF Cite
