Research ArticleOpen accessMeasurement of Software Maintainability Using a Fuzzy ModelK. K. Aggarwal, Yogesh Singh, Pravin Chandra, Manimala PuriSoftware maintenance is a task that every development group has to face when the software is delivered to the customers' site, installed and is operational. The time spent and effort required for keeping software operational consumes about 40-70% of cost of entire life cycle. This study proposes a four parameter integrated measure of software maintainability using a fuzzy model. The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2005 · 6,957 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessBayesian Regularization in a Neural Network Model to Estimate Lines of Code Using Function PointsK. K. Aggarwal, Yogesh Singh, Pravin Chandra, Manimala PuriIt is a well known fact that at the beginning of any project, the software industry needs to know, how much will it cost to develop and what would be the time required ? . This paper examines the potential of using a neural network model for estimating the lines of code, once the functional requirements are known. Using the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2005 · 30,191 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessEmpirical Studies on Applications of Neural Networks as Approximation OracleK. K. Aggarwal, Yogesh Singh, Arvinder KaurExpected results are essential to any test design. In testing, an Oracle is a trusted source of expected results. This research examines the performance of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as Approximation Oracle. The supervised learning paradigm has been used and found to be suitable for the purpose with the help of case studies. …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,628 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessA Fuzzy Approach for Integrated Measure of Object-Oriented Software TestabilityVandana Gupta, K. K. Aggarwal, Yogesh SinghFor large software systems, testing phase seems to have profound effect on the overall acceptability and quality of the final product. The success of this activity can be judged by measuring the testability of the software. A good measure for testability can better manage the testing effort and time. Different Object Oriented Metrics are used in measurement of object-oriented testability … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 7,905 accessesView PDF Cite
