Research ArticleOpen accessInter Cluster Group Management in Wireless Sensor NetworksR. Rohini, Adamu Murtala Zungeru, S. Ravi, Dasari Narasimha RaoWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), an emerging large-scale network system can be embedded for any application. The designers of wireless sensor network have to consider the quality of service agreements from a user perspective. The WSN is very rapid in dynamic changing topology and has less energy, computing and communication resources. The network design has to fulfill the QoS parameters like … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 4 · 19 Apr 2018 · 7,997 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessRTOS IMPLEMENTATION OF NON-LINEAR SYSTEM USING MULTI TASKING, SCHEDULING AND CRITICAL SECTIONM. Sujitha, V. Kannan, S. RaviRTOS based embedded systems are designed with priority based multiple tasks. Inter task communication and data corruptions are major constraints in multi-tasking RTOS system. This study we describe about the solution for these issues with an example Real-time Liquid level control system. Message queue and Mail box are used to perform inter task communication to improve the task execution time … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 11 · 20 Dec 2014 · 8,104 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessTRACKING THE POSITION OF MULTIPLE HUMAN GESTURES USING CONTOUR MAPPING ALGORITHMT. S. Arulananth, T. Jayasingh, S. RaviThis study relates to a method for determining the position variation (for example a moving object, facial gesture tracking) using markers. The movement is determined based on the periodic frames captured using a camera. The experimental results show that this algorithm can accurately segment human movements from complex background and can greatly reduce the computational workload with less storage memory, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 22 May 2014 · 6,506 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIMPLEMENTATION OF CENTRAL QUEUE BASED REALTIME SCHEDULER FOR MULTIPLE SOURCE DATA STREAMINGV. Kaviha, V. Kannan, S. RaviReal-time data packet sources are required to remain robust against different security threats. This study proposes a real-time secure scheduling strategy for data transmission to enhance the communication throughput and reduce the overheads. The proposed system combines real-time scheduling with security service enhancement, error detection and realtime scheduler based on EDF algorithm using uc/os-II real time operating system, implemented on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 22 Apr 2014 · 6,386 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessROBUST MEMORY MANAGEMENT USING REAL TIME CONCEPTSV. Karthikeyan, S. Ravi, M. AnandMemory fragmentation is the development of a large number of separate free areas. Memory management in embedded systems demand effective implementation schemes to avoid fragmentation problem. Existing dynamic memory allocation methods fail to suit real time system requirements. Execution times need to be deterministic and this motivates the need for allocation and deallocation to be done in constant time with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 1 Apr 2014 · 7,491 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessMODULATION IDENTIFICATION AND HAMMING ENCODING TECHNIQUE IMPLEMENTED IN SOFTWARE-DEFINED RADIOS. Ravi, M. Anand, S. Leones Sherwin Vimalraj, V. KannanIn SDR, it is advantageous if the data is transmitted using the best among the various modulation techniques with respect to SNR. The receiver has the ability to automatically identify the modulation technique and demodulate it. This process involves a novel method where a pilot sequence helps in identifying the type of modulation at the receiver. Ten modulation techniques are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 8 Feb 2014 · 6,895 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessRECONFIGURING EVOLVED CIRCUITS USING CONTROLLER: A REAL TIME APPROACHB. Hari Krishna, S. RaviFPGA is a device that contains a matrix of reconfigurable gate arrays that can implement different complex functions and also vary structurally. In this study, a novel method of reconfigurable circuit switching action is done with the help of a controller. BPSK Modulation application is chosen to demonstrate the reconfigurable action. When an event occurs the context/core switching is done … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 2 Dec 2013 · 6,378 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessSecond-Order Statistical Approach for Digital Modulation Scheme Classification in Cognitive Radio Using Support Vector Machine and K-Nearest Neighbor ClassifierS. Ravi, R. KannanCognitive radio systems require detection of different signals for communication. In this study, an approach for multiclass signal classification based on second-order statistical feature is proposed. The proposed system is designed to recognize three different digital modulation schemes such as PAM, 32QAM and 64QAM. The signal classification is achieved by extracting the 2nd order cumulants of the real and imaginary … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 11 Apr 2013 · 6,735 accessesView PDF Cite
