Research ArticleOpen accessImplementing a Large Data Bus VLIW MicroprocessorWeng Fook Lee, Ali Yeon Md ShakaffMicroprocessors have grown tremendously in its computing and data crunching capability since the early days of the invention of a microprocessor. Today, most microprocessors in the market are at 32 bits, while the latest microprocessors from IBM, Intel and AMD are at 64 bits. To further grow the computational capability of a microprocessor, there are two possible paths. One method … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,945 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessObject Detection using Geometric Invariant MomentMohamed Rizon, Haniza Yazid, Puteh Saad et al.Geometric moment invariant produces a set of feature vectors that are invariant under shifting, scaling and rotation. The technique is widely used to extract the global features for pattern recognition due to its discrimination power and robustness. In this paper, moment invariant is used to identify the object from the captured image using the first invariant (Ø1). The recognition rate … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Oct 2006 · 6,663 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessFace Recognition using Eigenfaces and Neural NetworksMohamed Rizon, Muhammad Firdaus Hashim, Puteh Saad et al.In this study, we develop a computational model to identify the face of an unknown person’s by applying eigenfaces. The eigenfaces has been applied to extract the basic face of the human face images. The eigenfaces is then projecting onto human faces to identify unique features vectors. This significant features vector can be used to identify an unknown face by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2006 · 6,940 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessObject Detection using Circular Hough TransformMohamed Rizon, Haniza Yazid, Puteh Saad et al.In this study we propose a new system to detect the object from an input image. The proposed system first uses the separability filter proposed by Fukui and Yamaguchi (Trans. IEICE Japan J80-D-II. 8, 2170-2177, 1997) to obtain the best object candidates and next, the system uses the Circular Hough Transform (CHT) to detect the presence of circular shape. The … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2005 · 8,216 accessesView PDF Cite
