Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCache Management for Concurrent Transaction Execution in Mobile Wireless EnvironmentJ.C. Miraclin Joyce Pamila, K. ThanushkodiProblem statement: Improvement in mobile communication technology and increased capability of mobile devices has made transaction processing possible with mobile devices. Transactions access services provided by the data server connected to the packet data network. Direct data access may overload the network and server. Data items are cached to improve data availability. The cache should be managed and maintained effectively … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 6,809 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsIMPROVING DATA AVAILABILITY IN MOBILE ENVIRONMENT USING DATA ALLOCATIONMoaiad Ahmad Khder, Zulaiha Ali Othman, Abdullah Mohd Zin, Salha AbdullahData distribution is one of the crucial issues in Data Base Management Systems (DBMS) in general and in Mobile environment in Particular. It is important because, if not properly managed, it will cause reduction in data availability, which in turn causes more rejections in transactions. Replication algorithms (e.g., CCM) are used to improve data availability. However, the database replication algorithms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 5 Jul 2013 · 6,860 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBlockchain-Enabled Privacy-Preserving Access Control for Electronic Health Records Using Smart ContractsG. Bhanu Prasad, M. Venkateswara RaoElectronic medical records are crucial for providing high-quality healthcare, but they also raise serious privacy and security issues. Traditional centralised storage systems are vulnerable to manipulation, hacking, and illegal access. This study suggests a smart contract-based blockchain architecture that provides decentralised, unaltered, and privacy-preserving access control for EMRs. The model integrates cryptographic techniques like AES-256 encryption and SHA-256 hashing for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 6 · 22 Jun 2026 · 1,306 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSEAchain: A Privacy-Preserving Dual-Credential Model on BlockchainS. Balachander, A. MuruganAll facets of daily life are now impacted by transaction data. The complex and heterogeneous network created by millions of users, devices, online services, and applications makes digital identity management more difficult. Users can maintain control over their personal information via distributed identity, a potentially useful model for resolving identity issues. Nevertheless, current state-of-the-art techniques are inappropriate because of persistent … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 5 · 25 May 2026 · 1,310 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient and Secure Record-Keeping: A Review of Smart Contract-Based Student Marks Management Systems in UniversitiesRima Anant Patel, Dharmendra PatelBlockchain stores the transaction sequentially in the form of linked blocks. The decentralized and distributed nature of the blockchain makes data easily accessible to the participants of the blockchain network. There are many applications of blockchain in the IT industry as it is one of the growing technology. Traditional education system suffers from marinating the data centrally. Centralized data are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 4 · 24 Mar 2025 · 5,139 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Impact of Business IT Strategic Alignment on Corporate PerformanceJohanes Fernandes Andry, Aziza Chakir, Ronald Maraden Parlindungan Silalahi et al.Information technology's role is vital for a company's progress in its business management. Companies must implement differentiation and cost-reduction strategies to gain a competitive advantage in intense competition, especially among electrical appliance distributors. The implementation of cost reduction cuts business processes by streamlining IT/IS. However, business processes still have not implemented information systems, such as stock data collection, transaction problem … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 3 · 28 Feb 2023 · 7,919 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComplex SQL-NoSQL Query Translation for Data Lake ManagementNurhadi, Rabiah Abdul Kadir, Ely Salwana Mat SurinA data lake refers to an extremely large data resource or repository. Data lakes store large amounts of data and use advanced analytics to pair data from multiple sources with different types of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured information. NoSQL databases such as Mongodb, Redis, Neo4j, and Cassandra are nontabular and they store data differently rather than use relational tables. NoSQL … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 12 · 19 Dec 2022 · 9,277 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Blockchain-Enabled Scalable Network Log Management SystemMohammad Habibullah Rakib, Showkot Hossain, Mosarrat Jahan, Upama KabirLog data is an essential tool to identify the footprint of unauthorized activities executed in a network system. Hence, a compact storage mechanism is required for the massive volume of log data to protect them from malicious tampering attacks. In this regard, Blockchain (BC) has been used to design tamper-proof storage of log records. However, the existing BC-based solutions cannot … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 6 · 15 Jun 2022 · 7,177 accessesView PDFCite
