Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSolving Traffic Routing System using VANet Strategy Combined with a Distributed Swarm Intelligence OptimizationElgarej Mouhcine, Khalifa Mansouri, Youssfi MohamedProposing an efficient strategy to reduce traffic congestion is an essential step towards improvement as we take into consideration the unpredictable and dynamic infrastructure of the road network. With the advances in computing technologies and communications protocols, we can retrieve any type of data and receive in real-time the state of traffic congestion at each road using Electronic Toll Collection … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 11 · 12 Nov 2018 · 7,592 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEfficient Resource Allocation and Task Scheduling in a Cloud Computing Environment using Swarm IntelligencePanuganti Hanumantha Rao, Rajakumar Subramanian, Geetha SomanThe new age of network-based computing, known as "cloud computing," is characterized by the distribution and sharing of resources over a network. These resources are available to anyone through the Internet on a pay-per-use basis. Any service that anybody uses can generate massive amounts of data. Therefore, in this scenario, there will be a significant cost associated with transferring data … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 12 · 7 Nov 2024 · 4,716 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Deoxyribonucleic Acid Compression Algorithm Using Auto-Regression and Swarm IntelligenceWalid Aly, Basheer Yousif, Bassem ZohdyDNA compression challenge has become a major task for many researchers as a result of exponential increase of produced DNA sequences in gene databases; in this research we attempt to solve the DNA compression challenge by developing a lossless compression algorithm. The proposed algorithm works in horizontal mode using a substitutional-statistical technique which is based on Auto Regression modeling (AR), … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 30 May 2013 · 6,729 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsArtificial Bee Colony based Energy Aware and Energy Efficient Routing ProtocolP. Visu, S. Koteeswaran, J. JanetProblem statement: Network becomes very important technology in the day to day life style of modern computer era, in which the wireless communication become very popular for the last few years. In the same manner, the other wireless network, i.e., ado network is very popular among the researchers in the past few decades. Approach: The Ad hoc networks are defined … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 19 Jan 2012 · 7,095 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Multicast Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksZeyad M. Alfawaer, GuiWei Hua, Noraziah AhmedIn mobile ad hoc networks, how to achieve the multicast communication is a challenging task due to the fact that the topology may change frequently and communication links may be broken because of users' mobility. We introduced MANHSI (Multicast for Ad hoe Network with hybrid Swarm Intelligence) protocol, which relies on a swarm intelligence based optimization technique to learn and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 7,297 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsHybrid Ant Colony Optimization and Genetic Algorithm for Rule InductionHayder Naser Khraibet AL-Behadili, Ku Ruhana Ku-Mahamud, Rafid SagbanIn this study, a hybrid rule-based classifier namely, ant colony optimization/genetic algorithm ACO/GA is introduced to improve the classification accuracy of Ant-Miner classifier by using GA. The Ant-Miner classifier is efficient, useful and commonly used for solving rule-based classification problems in data mining. Ant-Miner, which is an ACO variant, suffers from local optimization problem which affects its performance. In our … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 7 · 24 Jul 2020 · 7,899 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsModified ACS Centroid Memory for Data ClusteringAyad Mohammed Jabbar, Ku Ruhana Ku-Mahamud, Rafid SagbanAnt Colony Optimization (ACO) is a generic algorithm, which has been widely used in different application domains due to its simplicity and adaptiveness to different optimization problems. The key component that governs the search process in this algorithm is the management of its memory model. In contrast to other algorithms, ACO explicitly utilizes an adaptive memory, which is important to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 10 · 11 Oct 2019 · 7,641 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsApplications of Nature-Inspired Algorithms in Different Aspects of Semantic WebDeepika Chaudhary, Jaiteg Singh, D. P. KothariNature has always inspired us all the waggle dance of Honey bee, the school of whales and the swarm of ants, each element when observed carefully has the abundance of teachings. If we carefully observe nature, we find that although Nature seems to be very simple and systematic, it hides many complexities underneath it. As technology also follows the same … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 14 Feb 2018 · 8,760 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsFFA-CONTEXT AWARE ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING USING FAST REACTIVE AND ADAPTIVE ALGORITHMP. Kavitha Rani, E. KannanA vital issue of routing is how to efficiently strengthen energy consumption of the whole network and to avoid the energy-hole which leads to node failure or node death; this scenario makes the network to work improperly and leads to network death, Here we proves our hypothesis with linearity between routing and linear principles. Our proposed work effectively utilizes the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 26 Dec 2013 · 6,617 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Optimal Approach for Medical Image AnalysisJ. Umamaheswari, G. RadhamaniProblem statement: Image segmentation is the process that subdivides an image into its constituent parts and extracts the objects. It is one of the most critical tasks in automatic image analysis because the subdivided results will affect all the subsequent processes of image analysis, such as object representation and description, feature measurement and even the following higher level tasks such … …Current Research in Bioinformatics, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 6 Jun 2012 · 9,513 accessesView PDFCite
